Wonderful outdoor space. Well balanced cocktails. The potato’s were soft and crispy amazing. Loved all the food. Only suggestion is for larger side plates for sharing. The tiny plates offered are great for tea cups but not much else.

Dropped in here totally off the cuff with absolutely no expectations. What a phenomenal place. We were lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday night so it was also half price on bottles of wine, which was a really nice added bonus. The food was fantastic. we truly enjoyed ourselves Service was great. Everyone was attentive. We can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I have been hearing all the rumors about how awesome this place is. We finally got to go tonight and they did not disappoint! From the host to our server the service was 10/10 but the food!! The food was 100/10 we went with friends so we got to try about half the menu. Everything was delicious! The food was so good I forgot to take more than 1 photo lol! Great place for a date night or dinner with friends! Can’t wait to go back!

Best brunch i've ever had- french toast, chilequiiles, & oysters on a half-shell. Our server Courtney ruled!
Also had dinner here another night and it rocked just as hard; havn't had a bad item yet!

It’s 21 and up inside after 7. So it was a little hot and humid, but we ate outside. Loved the mushrooms, sirloin, and roasted vegetables!! The chicken, burger, muscles & oysters were good too, but nothing to write home about. Everything was ala carte, so we ordered a bunch of things and they came out a few at a time and we all shared.
Kid-friendliness: There is no kid menu, but our daughters enjoyed sharing the plates.

Limited, but tasty menu. The cocktails were especially good. The bohemian atmosphere is nice. Seek it out. Worth a try.

Made it here for Fathers day. A good find by my daughter and wife!
Sort of like a tapas. Shareable meals
4items for the 3 seemed sufficient.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free
Parking: Sunday us free street parking. But the lot parking says....never free...

1 star for service - our server was not attentive to our requests - had to ask multiple times for ice for our water, she never checked if we needed anything and only came to the table to take our order, deliver our food, and bring us our bill. Actually she did make 1 trip to bring more water since it was 90 degrees outside. Unfortunately we had 6+ people and were obligated to pay 20% gratuity that wasn't earned.
5 stars for the chef and kitchen staff - great tasting food with exception to the trout dip which rates a 1 since the chips were good. Don't waste your money on the $18 dish for a miniscule amount of trout smothered in bland creme fraichee and surrounded by a pile of potato chips. We did find 1 small trout bite.......All other dishes were excellent!!!
One more note, resevations were made with a note asking if dining for a special occasion. Celebrating a birthday I guess didnt qualify as a special occasion to Elsie's Daughter as I was told by the hostess no comp for a piece of cake for the birthday girl. There were 8 other people attending so I'm pretty certain shareable desserts would have been ordered.
Easy improvements can be made to the server staff to make this a 5 star dining experience. Keep the chef, kitchen staff, and bartender!!!

The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing. The food was served has a family style meal. We enjoyed sharing the meals. We also conversed with the couple in the other booth about what they ordered and they were also very satisfied with their meal. This is a place we would return to during our next stay in Chattanooga.

Atmosphere is really cool and relaxed, and the food for the most part was good. Overpriced for sure, but that was expected in a place like this. The drinks are the best part of this place, and you can’t go wrong with anyone you might get. The only item that is absolutely ridiculous is the $18 trout dip. With a bowl only big enough for two to share and barely any actual trout in it, the price didn’t match the product at all. At least for the most part the other dishes made up for the price in size and flavor. Aside from the food, the service was extremely disappointing. As a server myself I can tell when someone is being lazy or if they’re just busy, and ours was assuredly lazy. Most of the staff could be seen on their phones and not paying attention to what was going on in their restaurant. Our waitress wouldn’t let us get a word in before walking away from the table, and I had to go to the bar to get my own ice after asking her twice (while it was slow) and not receiving any. She finally somewhat kicked it into gear when it got busier, but service was still subpar. Lastly, there needs to be more fans on the patio because the structure of that room makes the air stagnant and suffocating. Nice place, good idea, underwhelming execution. Nothing to write home about, but a good place for a special occasion and not regular attendance.

All my friends LOVE Elsie’s Daughter! Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. Request Ana to get you taken care of. She always does a wonderful job no matter how busy it is in the restaurant, and makes you feel like your party is the only one in the restaurant in terms of service! I’ll never run out of good things to say about her and this restaurant!

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! We were visiting Chattanooga for a fun family trip before our second baby arrives and we randomly found Elsie’s Daughter on the map and are so glad we did!
We had great service, the atmosphere was so eye-catching and eclectic (gave me all the thrift and antiquing inspo), and the food was quite literally PHENOMENAL. We ordered 4 different dishes to share and every single entree was a fun delicious experience to try. Truly amazing food. We had the collard green salad (so much crunch and flavor!), the roasted chicken (golden and juicy), the curried sweet potatoes (perfectly spicy and flavorful, and so filling), and the sirloin tataki (an actual culinary masterpiece). My husband loved the whiskey sour and our only regret is not ordering the pudding dessert, but it looked amazing as well. Elsie’s Daughter is a gem of a place if you’re in Chattanooga and looking for a fun experience at a very appropriate price! I literally want to visit Chattanooga again soon just to return to this fantastic restaurant.
