Better communication on who the actual store manager is I called Dollar General we got disconnected. He said that he was the store manager and then when I called back two other guys said they were the Store Manager and then I was told finally that the actual store manager was out of town And to call back on Sunday. Lack of communication and needs improvement on management. Also was never given a clear answer.

I'm in the store for a matter of 2 mins and am looking at the little nick nacks in front of the register where you stand in line right when you first walk in, I grab a cig holder case. Then proceed to the rest of the store, immediately am being watched and followed, maybe cause of how I look and because I have a "big" purse. As I'm looking at home & garden the lady is standing basically right behind me propt up on the inventory cart just watching me. She then says "mam I need you to put your bag up front" I said "excuse me, my purse?" She replied " yes, big bags like that you have to keep up front." Me- " actually no you do not if it's someone's personal purse, maybe if it was just an extra bag.'' she then walkies the manager saying what I said. He comes over and confirms that yes it's company policy.Again I told him " I use to work for dollar general, and never did we ever for once think about asking anybody to leave their purse up front to assume they are going to steal, could actually sue them for doing something like that. Discrimination!!" He continued to argue with me, so I set my things down and walked out, as the lady continues to run her mouth. I am offended extremely. I have money I don't need to steal I should not be assumed because they have people that come in and steal. Will be calling corporate in them. Absolutely disgusting people thinking they doing their job but really pushing people good customers away!!!!

I came here for a bottle opener. Typical DG with stuff everywhere but still not much in stock. I will never understand. I located what I needed. The cashier was nice & polite. Location is recently remodeled so that was a nice touch. This location was convenient to where I was staying while visiting the area.
