We were in a difficult situation and at first were hesitant about bringing in our RV for generator service (reviews can be fickle). I was immediately put at ease when someone from Cummins pulled up next to us on the street while we were searching for the service entrance and pointed us in the right direction.
Dan did a great job communicating options to repair our generator keeping us up to date on progress as they stripped down our unit and my family plus pets occupied their lounge. In the end it was clear the cost of the repair would exceed the cost of a new unit. Dan and Jansen's honest and clear options and expertise were appreciated.
Considering the amount of time spent trying to repair our generator they were very fair in putting together the final invoice for a replacement.
Having had mostly negative experience with "dealer equipment repair" Cummins far exceeded my expectations.
Thank you for helping us get our road trip back on track!

Blown away by the lack of professionalism and effort. One shop says it was the generator, Cummins says it's the AC. That's fine, but the Tri-State I worked with did did like 14 tests and could articulate where the problem was and their limitations are, every step was made clear and I was not charged the full price because they couldn't do anything. Cummins tested the voltage at one point, told me it's not them and charged me 400 bucks. I'm Asking questions on options and I'm Told, "sorry it's not the problem YOU want". Condescending, sarcastic, dismissive, poor quality service. Warranty tells me there's a common air flow issue and there was a recall and the amount of attitude I'm given is baffling. They could be wrong, I'm no expert, but I don't trust the words of a company with so much disdain for an objectively respectful customer asking advice that I've paid for. I couldn't even get to ask if the supposed air flow issue was something that could be tested for. I guess this is what happens when only a specific company can work on a specific product. They don't feel the need to offer a competitive service because, where else you gonna go. Disappointed beyond measure.
TLDR - Shallow work/diag, poor customer service.....don't do it if you can help it

In August 2023 we were stranded on I-75 SB for 24 hours waiting for a tow to Cummins Chattanooga to repair our 38' Tiffin Allegro diesel pusher motorhome. There was an issue with the diesel particulate filter. We spent 2 nights at a hotel and spent almost $1600 in repairs. On the road again, we made it almost to Tifton, GA before the same lights and codes appeared. Another $1250 tow and another $100 repair at Freightliner- the issue didn't get fixed there, either. Instead, we made it, barely, to Cummins in Ocala, FL where they said that neither shop had actually looked far enough into tge problem, but if they had just looked a little deeper, they would have found it and we would have avoided yet another $6000 repair.After sending the paperwork to Chattanooga, rather than admit that their mechanics didn't do the repair correctly, the problem was a high idle hours problem.Definitely will never recommend Cummins Chattanooga to anyone with a DPF problem. Maybe an oil change, but definitely nothing mechanical.

On a recent trip south we were stranded in Dalton Ga with a red stop engine lamp. Cummins Chattanooga did an amazing job of getting us in quickly, diagnosing the issue, and solving the problem. All within a matter of hours... It is never fun to need repair on a diesel pusher, but they stepped up and really came in clutch. Every part of that operation was first class, and we are very thankful we ended up there for help!

Service department was friendly and helpful and courteous they got me in immediately. Mechanics were friendly and knowledgeable and experienced. They explained the problem to me and fixed it immediately. Rolling in less than 2 hours. Thanks Cummins in Chattanooga TN. Definitely a great place to come if you need help.

I have a LTL Trucking Company based out of Lake St Louis, MO. I was in Georgia driving one of my 2019 International Box Trucks back home when my dash suddenly lit up with 3 lights (check engine, def, upside down triangle). It was late so I pulled over and did some homework... these lights were going to derate my truck in a few hours! I found this Cummins location a couple hours out from where I was in Chattanooga, TN. I got a hotel room for the night in that town & was in their truck yard the next morning before the break of dawn praying they could squeeze me in and help me 1st thing. Someone found me out there and brought me in where I was greeted by Eric Tanker, the Service Manager before they were even open! Eric listened to me and reassured me they were there to help. He introduced me to May, who had just started working there and she was phenomenal. She was able to do a quick diagnostic & get the information over to Daniel in the office. Daniel verified the TRP code I gave him that I thought I needed from doing my homework to get home. Once he arrived at the same solution, he had Matt the technician start on my truck right away. Then, as I'm waiting in the lounge May came up to update me and handed me an information sheet that stated this was a known issue, how to work around it for now, what to do at each fill up, next steps to fix it down the road, & that THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE to me for any of it! They had me fixed & back on the road that morning, I couldn't believe it. They definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone I interacted with seemed to enjoy their job and were happy to help. It was an amazing experience and I am SO grateful that I landed here for help.

Mark helped us on short notice with an error code on our motorhome and was fantastic! Everyone we dealt with was pleasant, knowledgable and understanding, making a very stressful situation much easier on us. We will definitely be back anytime we need our coach serviced!
