Been going to this church for OVER 10 years and these reviews crack me up. If you're a real Christian you know that when someone speaks truth from the Bible than demons get offended.. this is a pure example. Pastor Frank only speaks truth and you can tell the demons who've come in and got very offended lol amazing church if you actually wanna hear the truth.

There is no divisive hate speech here. A lot of good folks who are trying to walk it out day by day. The pastors speak the truth, not just the feely good politically correct false teacher drivel spoken of in 2 Timothy. "For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers [4] and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths."
2 Timothy 4:3-4
I am blessed to have been able to attend a church where the truth is spoken and unfettered by the lens of lies favored by the double-minded in our broken society. A good church, full of love and truth.

Since they try to take down my review:
I would give zero stars if I could. This pastor is an obviously troubled man. I went to this church because someone recommended it to me. The pastor started right in on cult politics and violent language and name-calling. My family were shocked and sickened. I should have read the bad reviews ahead of time and saved myself a trip and a terrible experience. Read the reviews. They’re all very consistent and spot on.

My husband and I are new to Chattanooga and eagerly searching for a new church home. We visited Calvary this weekend and left feeling so sad. We wanted to find a home that preached the joy of Jesus and focused on Gods word. We found the pastor to be extremely divisive. We loved the worship and felt very connected to the members during worship. However, we feel the word of God was not the focus of this pastors sermon. He preached his political beliefs more than he referred to the Bible. Hate speech has no place in God’s house. We are still in need of a church home and will not be giving up the search. Please pray for this congregation and for our search? Thank you!

Any organization that shuts down free speech is one that can't be trusted. And then to have someone falsely arrested and cost the city 30k for the unconstitutional arrest is a disgrace. The church should be the one paying the 30k not the taxpayers.

Love it here! Started attending in 2022. Very alive worship! Lots of different denominations here. The preach the Gospel. We have seen a lot of people come to Christ here. Great mix of old and young people here with lots of ministry opportunities to serve and be served. We joined a small group that meets weekly. This makes a large Church seem small. So glad that they address local and national concerns and do not stick their head in the sand. They put Christ first while emphasizing application for being in the Word, personal holiness, and affecting culture.

I’ve lived in Chattanooga for 3 election cycles now and each cycle I’ve watched Calvary Chapel be used to create division within our community. Over the years, it’s grown to be more intense and more hurtful than helpful in how they attempt to breach the topic around how faith and how you vote should intertwine. I’ve watched this church be used to fuel hatred in prayer, cultivate fear in new believers and those that are in the beginnings of their walk in their faith.
I pray that the hearts of this church shifts to reflect the heart of God and I pray that if you find yourself in these Google reviews feeling furious after a sermon or after coming across a social media post, that you can find peace in knowing that God loves you no matter who you are or what you have done.
I am hopeful for a revitalization for this church so that more people can once again find themselves to feel safe and encouraged to grow and nourish their relationship with Christ alongside this church (or a church somewhere else).

One of those hate-churches like you see on TV. But like, documentaries on TV that start with an ominous voiceover. They continue to post hate speech on their social media, just to make it clear that they only want the very narrowest (and narrow-minded) subset of folks to attend and tithe here. Spend your time, energy, and money somewhere much better where you'll actually get something out of it. These losers need to go.

Praying against the evils this church and their desire to corrupt the next generation. I pray that their plans fail and they would come to see that when the Bible says Love Thy Neighbor it is referring to those different from us.

My family and I visited Calvary a few weekends ago, and had mixed feelings. Ryan preached, so we thought we'd visit again when the main Pastor was there. This past Sunday he was and it wasn't for us. We are used to a church that shows compassion for others and reflects attributes similar to Jesus. What we saw was condemning, judging, and fear mongering. Using facts/data to enrage the flock, versus encouraging them to lead with love. It's more than obvious what audience they cater to. Therefore, they continue to thrive. It just didn't seem to truly be Christ-like. I pray that the church leaders exemplify more of Jesus/The Holy Spirit in themselves and their teaching than they do (seemingly) stirring the pot. Don't spend more time emphasizing how the government, school systems, and secular world are covertly, or intentionally, doing x,y, and z. But rather how, together, as a unified body of Christ, WE can positively impact each of those, and how WE can be agents of change and influence in a world that desperately needs it.

This has been my church for the past five years, and I love it! It is a very welcoming, sincere and loving church with very clear, Bible-based teaching. I am a pretty introverted person. So, I appreciate that I am able to engage at a level that works for me. Yet, there are many and varied opportunities for individuals, singles, couples, and families to get involved in the church and with the community. It is definitely worth a visit. Having been to a lot of churches in my life, this one is definitely one not to miss.
