Little area that takes you to an old European town feels.
Absolutely loved our time there!
Photography was not allowed unless you get permission. So we skipped the photos part. Which is great in my view- else this would have been crowded by a million people. Please retain the ban on photography policy lol

I wish that I was able to leave a higher rated review, but due to the rudeness of the grounds employee, I am unable to do so.
I had parked my vehicle in the parking area and was waiting for my partner to show up. During my wait as I sat in my car, a lady who was working with the flowers near the parking area came to my car and rudely told me to move. She said I had pulled in at a bad angle and I was blocking the parking for other people. The problem was I in fact parked at an angle BUT I had parked with other cars that were too parked at an angle. I was confused and asked what she meant since I was parked next to other vehicles at the same angle. She told me I had parked wrong, I was in the way and I needed to move or go park in the street somewhere else. I responded that there was nothing wrong with the way I had parked and that I had parked the same way everyone else was parked. She began to argue and tell me that I was in the way, and that I needed to go on or move into the street.
I’m really not sure what her concern was with my parking. she was so rude and unwelcoming that I just decided to leave. I called my partner and told them not to worry about meeting me there, that the grounds workers would make them feel very unwelcome.
It’s a shame I was unable to follow through with my lunch plans for the day. my hope was to leave a five star review after visiting the district but thanks to the rude lady working the flowers I am only leaving two stars. I’m honestly just confused why she would approach a person sitting in their car parked amongst other parked vehicles and try to make them feel unwelcome the way she made me feel.
I hate leaving a poor review for an area that is beautiful and that I was excited to visit but my experience was so ridiculous that I felt the need to do so.
I hope others who visit this area have a better experience than I did. People need to understand that everyone working for an area, be it in the restaurants, the museums or even your grounds workers are a representative of that space. One rude employee can negatively affect the way a potential patron feels about a place:

So lovely! Don't miss it. I think it's the best part of Chattanooga. Park the car and just wander. If you see water or the end of a street, just walk to it and you'll discover hidden art, sculptures, beautiful walkways, short staircases...you might even see bakers doing their magic in the pastry kitchen. Stop at Rembrandts coffee and sit/ relax under the trellis. Head over to the art museum area and see more sculptures there. Admire the architecture of 3 buildings of the museum. Keep walking and you'll head towards a pedestrian bridge. Keep going, explore and marvel!

Small, but pleasant block with a coffee shop, 2 restaurants, nice art gallery, inn, and interesting outdoor sculpture garden. Near the Hunter Art Museum.

I was in Chattanooga for 3 days and I stopped by BVAD every day! Rembrandt Coffee is a great way to start the day with tasty food and coffee. Nice sculpture garden and great views of the TN River and Walnut St Bridge. This is only a 1.5 block, art district but it has a unique, European vibe. There is limited parking for free, 2 hours.

The Art district is really pretty. It smells really nice, and houses really great restaurants that charge way too much money for everything.Good place, just make sure you're rich before you come here.
