“This is a general grocery store with a specialty edge to it along with good prices. You can find pretty much everything you need here but not a wide variety. Most things are the Aldi brand. But you won't believe the fantastic selection of cheeses, bakery and bread items, and wines. The quality here is very, very good.”
“Bad service in bakery. Promised me a cake ordered on the 29th of September to be picked up the next day after lunch. Call me the next day to tell me they don’t have a decorator. I offered to pick one out of the cooler , buy the kit and decorate it myself. They said they couldn’t do that. I was up a tree. My granddaughter’s birthday was Sunday evening. I went to the one on McGrady Drive and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. She even apologized for Food City’s bakery on Ocoee Crossing. I told her it was not her fault. Never shop this bakery again. After speaking with Lafonda on Monday September 30, 2025 she explained that sometimes they do not have a cake decorator. It’s sad. I really liked the cake I picked. I settled for something else from another Food City.Thank you Lafonda. You are the best!”
“It is a local out in the country store here and it's a lifesaver for some people. Highly recommend shopping there or we won't have it there help the community and go shopping plus it's just a cool name”

“Our experience was good. The place was extremely clean, which was a good sign. The service was exceptional, and the food was authentic Mexican. The tacos were my favorite, and I also ordered the 'Torta de Carne Asada,' which was delicious. I did have to add some salt to my food, but that was fine with me. The taco tortillas needed to be dipped more into the oil because they were a little dry. Their horchata drink is more Central American than Mexican, but it is still delicious. For two people, I paid around $45, which was a little pricey but worth it.”

“Went here for the first time today and I was so glad I did( Now I have somewhere to go and get my African food items). Met the owners who are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I almost didn't find the store, so here is a tidbit of info to help you locate it...It is right behind the "Smoothie King". Store is located in the same building.”
“The Dollar General on Georgetown road, the staff is wonderful they would do anything to help you they're very friendly and you actually get to know them. If you were seeing this dollar general before the new manager took up for it was horrible I would have had it being that girl walking in and taking over that store it was so just messed up! They do try very hard to keep it clean and the parking lot's always clean I mean it is a really clean Dollar General and I appreciate that. My only problem is and it's just not that Dollar General it's all of them here in Cleveland and it's actually the company itself they run ads you know sell ads and stuff but then none of the Dollar generals have that product and you know stock when you go to get it that week That's very aggravating also every time I go to one and I mean all of them here in Cleveland it shows one price but when you go and pay for it it's actually more and that's very frustrating because sometimes people are budgeted and they are walking there so like $10 and they think that's what they're spending and it comes out to be four or $5 more that's a problem. that yes I love my Dollar General up here and the girls are fabulous it's the company their self that's not that I'm happy with. Thank you girls!”

“I have been going to the Dollar General in Athens for about 2 months now. Every time I go in there the young guy follows me around the store. I guess he thinks I am stealing. Or he wants a date !!!! I have kids older than he is. I am probably good 40 years older than him. But I wonder what this boy would do if he actually did see someone stealing? He can’t put his hands on a customer, and he only weighs 150 lbs . I don’t think Athens City is going to come tires smoking or guns blazing over dollar store merchandise. I wonder if he has thought bout that? A store wrongly accuses a customer of Theft, that’s one heck of a liability. And it’s so annoying getting followed, every time I turn the corner, he’s there. Not very good at being a loss prevention dude. Those cats at Walmart could teach him a few things. They r the pros”
“I was just in this store and experienced a medical emergency and the staff was wonderful and very helpful.....they called EMS to assist and there was also another female customer who assisted me also....the employees & other customers were VERY helpful and tried to get me help as well as trying to get me further assistance and help me stay calm ....Thank You Dollar General Staff & Bradley County EMS for all your assistance in my time of need. “There are a multitude of Dollar Generals to pick from in my area. This one is one I don't stop at normally just bc I'm not normally in that area. But it was very clean , service was quick and friendly. They were out of somethings, not things necessarily pandemic related, so I'm not sure if that's normal for this location or not. I would recommend it for a quick stop for a few items though!”

“Super cool cashier! I was tired, my meds were kicking in and boy she just rolled the dice with me, and had fun with my antics for a minute or two. Lol! Super friendly staff, large section, unbeatable prices, and I got in, found what I needed, stood in line, had my ' medication moment ' with the cashier, and was back on the road to the House, in UNDER about 4 minutes total! WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH GIYS!”

“I’ve not had any issues. I usually just go for an item or two. I will say Dollar General does not treat its employees well. So keep that in mind if you’re upset with an employee. There’s even documentaries on the company’s behavior. Very low staffed. Everybody has bad days. Keep that in mind.”
“I love this store , the employees in the morning go above and beyond for us and the general manager chris I can tell works really hard and always is happy to help me when I have any questions or need an item I cannot find .Everyone is very friendly everytime I visit the store compared to other stores that don’t acknowledge customers that shop there .Keep up the good work !”
“It's definitely just your standard/normal Dollar General....I have to say that I've experienced some ruder than just the normal "I'm having a bad day" type of employees quite often. The worst one being an actual manager ?? I haven't actually been treated so badly by a manager in my life at any store for that matter...or anyone at an actual DG either. Not sure if that particular manager still holds employment there or not. The incident referenced that I experienced was around December sometime of last year ? but I thought it was important and something worth mentioning tho...”

I see alot of complaining about the customer service there, I've never had a bad experience there,and I'm in there EVERYDAY,staff is always helpful ,DIANE,SHANE,KIM,And the newest MNGR ,Along with some new faces behind the counter? Have always been courteous,and props to the newest MNGR for rearranging the store to maximize space! The new SCAN ID FOR TOBACCO? FROM CORPRATE, NOT COOL! You have the right to verify age, but not to enter Someone's private info into a database to track your sales. I have spent almost $3500 a year,probably more"", there for tobacco,for 4 1/2 straight years and now go elsewhere for them,I actually looked into the law and it does not say anywhere to scan I'd. Only to verify.. I can verify that AZTEC just lost alot of money lol”
