I heard so much about this restaurant so it was a must try when I came to visit Memphis. The location offers tons of parking and the establishment was very well kept. We had a party of 8 and we were seated upon arrival. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of food selections and all were good. Everything was made to order and the right temperature. I ordered the spare ribs with a house salad. Others ordered the smoked chicken dinner, the baby back ribs, and the pulled chicken sandwich. We also had to try the fresh pork rinds which were delicious as well. Overall it was nice restaurant and I would return.

This was outstanding! I thought I'd had Memphis barbecue before and hadn't been impressed -- possibly due to being a Texas barbecue fan :) -- but either I hadn't had true Memphis barbecue or the Memphis Barbecue Company is truly in a league of its own. The beans and rice here were the best I've ever had, although the pulled pork was definitely another standout. Along with those, I would definitely order again the pulled chicken and chopped brisket. I think I enjoyed the sausage also, but it was much juicier than I normally like, which distracted me a little from focusing on the flavor. The only thing that was less than amazing to me was the barbecue spaghetti; it was creative, full of flavor, and with a little kick to it, but compared to the quality of everything else I tried, it was just Okay and not something I'd order again, particularly with the number of other sides to choose from. The menu is large; it is full of variety, with everything at good prices. The meats I tried did need the wonderful barbeque sauce though; this wasn't a problem -- 'just an observation that, in my opinion, none of them stood solely on their own, although the pulled pork came close. The staff members are warm, friendly, efficient, and helpful. Memphis Barbecue Company is a good-sized restaurant, although it definitely fills up with customers. When the tables in the main dining room area are full, remember to check the bar area behind the hostess booth -- it has seat-yourself booths and high-top tables, along with the plentiful bar stools. I look forward to returning!

Best BBQ in the country? We are from the Chicagoland area and just spent 4 days in NOLA trying all the great food the city has to offer. We ran into some airline troubles and after 2 cancelled flights in 2 days we decided to rent a car to make the hike back home. We stumbled upon MBC knowing nothing about it and just picked it because it was the closest option off I-55. Let me just say this might of been the highlight of our trip! The ribs are fall off the bone amazing but the sausage stole the show! Very tender and flavorful! Definitely adding this to our list to come back to! Well worth it!

A friend recommended this place and I had to try it. Ordered the brisket chili and smoked chicken wings. The chili was amazing. Large bowl, plenty of brisket in it, a little heat from the jalapeños, it was so good. The wings came dry with dry rub. The rub flavor was spicy and fabulous, then the smoke flavor hits making you tongue dance. The meat came off the bone so easy. Cooked perfectly!

Hubby and I stopped for late lunch. We are the organizers of International Goat Days Championship BBQ and Melissa competed in our contest about 3 years ago. I had wanting to eat there and finally had the opportunity. It did not disappoint! We had the cheese fritters to start- and some of their delicious pork rinds! Fritters were hot and delicious with plenty of honey mustard I added a bit of the BBQ sauce- delish! Then I had the Memphis Peacemaker with fries and Phillip had the BBQ nachos- portions were huge. I ordered my sandwich without the sauce so I could add my own, they forgot the slaw, but the server quickly provided a small cup of slaw. Both the brisket and the pulled pork were moist and had a great smoke flavor. Bread was fresh, slaw was crunchy- mayo based and perfect paired with the meat and her sweet smoky sauce. French fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside- well seasoned- yum yum! Nachos were huge, plenty of cheese sauce and toppings. Wish I could have eaten more items, but guess we will have to go back for that- left full with to go boxes. I highly recommend eating here- since it was very busy at 2:30 on a Monday I'm sure many others feel the same

The Best BBQ in Memphis (really in Southlake, Mississippi just a few miles south of Memphis). Meats, sides, cornbread & pork rinds are all 5 star delicious!! We waited 30 minutes on Saturday at 7:30pm to be seated, and it was well worth the patience. They sell a variety of t-shirts @$17 and tie dye @$20 each. Check out my pic . . .

Recently, moving from Hawaii to Arkansas...and being a faithful watcher of DDD, I was looking for some Barbeque. So my husband and I decided to take the 2 hour drive to Memphis to get barbecue. I was reading all the reviews I could, and Memphis Barbecue Co. came highly recommended, and since they had so many trophies for winning so many championships, I had to check out the hype. Little did I know we'd be in Mississippi to get it....! Delicious to say the least, just like all the reviews before promised. Melt in your mouth pulled pork, brisket and baby back ribs....Grits and mac and cheese to top it off! And southern sweet tea! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Memphis...I mean Mississippi. And a special shout out to our server Staldrick, who made a great suggestion for what we should try!

This was our first time in Memphis and our cousins wanted us to try it. Honestly I'm good with a nice pulled pork that I can season or sauce to my liking.. Since everything looked and smelled so delicious we decided to try the World Champion platter. It consists of 4 quarter chicken, sliced brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage a slab of ribs and a slab of bay backs, cornbread, and 3 sides... we chose fried okra, baked beans and macaroni and cheese. While waiting we enjoyed sweet tea and delicious homemade pork rinds.. the best I have ever eaten.. we chose the dry rub ribs that were falling off the bone tender and delicious. This BBQ is A+ and well worth the trip anytime, any day!

This place was super good! I was in town for business and ate here twice. I had the brisket, sausage and ribs. The brisket was super tender, sausage was good but the ribs were just a tad tough. They serve you pork rinds before your meal and they were really good. The BEST part to me was the bbq sauce! Delicious...and well worth the TSA bag checked for my three bottles of bbq sauce I took home!! lol It's definite try if you are in the area!

Worth the stop. Traveling and found this world awarded true Memphis Bbq. I will come back. We split the pit master meat plate there was almost too much food. The fresh pork rind are amazing.

Okay.. visit #2 ...this time brought a guest. Our waiter, Kyron, greeted us with a big smile and was knowledgeable about his menu. I ordered the "baby back ribs last time - they were killer!!! so switched it up this trip and ordered the brisket (sliced) and pulled pork- not impressed with either. So, I decided to stick with the coleslaw, very good & consistent. I changed it up and tried the corn on the cob...waterlogged, soft and tasteless! The pork rinds (homemade) are still the bomb! Gotta say though One and Only BBQ...I am back baby!!! CU soon

I am a big fan of this place however, today l was totally disappointed when l invited a close friend to dine here with me. We arrived about 4:30, our food looked fantastic!!! The food was hot except for the ribs... oh wow!! The ribs came out room temp and the rub on them was super SALTY!!! l must say that was a first Our server wasn't very attentive to our table at ALL. We did mention to a Manger about how salty the ribs were, he didn't seem very concerned or offer to remake them. Disappointed.com!!!!

I came for the BBQ spaghetti & it didn't disappoint! It's sweet & spicy with perfectly cooked pasta, maybe a bucatini? It's topped with a mound of pulled pork. The mud pie dessert is good too!

The fried green tomatoes were amazing! Limited vegetarian options but what're you gonna do? It's the south

Stopped for lunch on the way out of town. Food was good and fresh but service was slow. It never fails when you are in a rush. I ordered the brisket sandwich with beans. It was good for what it was.
