Bought a used Kia Sportage from a private dealership and took it to Wallace Kia to make sure all factory recalls were up today. The service advisor stated all were up to date and informed me that the engine was covered for life. Left the dealership feeling at ease that at least my engine was covered on this $17k purchase.Forward one year later and cylinder 3 failed --bad rings and was told the cost to replace was $6100. I mentioned the warranty lifetime coverage and was told by a different Service Adviser that it was a conditional warranty that applied only if the engine seized up or knocked. I was furious and went to the service manager and all he could do was apologize. He actually stated to me if I were you I would drive it till it seized. I was shocked he made that statement to me. Not liking that answer I spoke with the owner and basically got the same apology...I even offered to split the payment but no offer was accepted. I have filed a BBB complaint and at this time our joint savings was wiped out. My wife and I live off SS and are seniors and this was devastating to us.It seems to me that a service advisor who is trained and compensated well should be held liable for inaccurate information given.

I ordered a 2022 Kia Telluride in Granite Gray in the Nightfall edition in early January. About 2 months later I was called and told that our car was there. We drove our 2 trade-ins over to Bristol. The car was not the Nightfall edition. The "salesman" said he did not hear "Nightfall." I was ready to choke him, I stipulated that so many times. Now I cannot get a complete itemization of my bill including taxes, dealer prep, etc. This seems so stupid to me. Never use this dealership. They are a bunch of clowns that do not know how to do business.
