I love Ulta! You can find everything you need here and if you can't find it, one of the very helpful employees will help you! I have had great experiences getting my hair cut, treated and glossed here. If you get tangled hair, go get a gloss put on! You can do clear or a color and this really helps refresh your color!!

The sales people seemed too busy to assist customers because of an "event". Do NOT allow anyone there to touch your hair. My daughter's hair was destroyed by their stylist and there was not as much as an apology.

My daughter came in with her grandmother on vacation to have her blonde hair toned and her roots touched up before graduation pictures. The stylist named Jen Immediately started pulling out sections of her hair with disgust and said to her “ if I do your hair it would ruin my reputation.” “ your hair is so damaged “ and “ you have to cut at least half of it off” my daughter has very long hair , she wants to keep it long due to her being a cancer survivor and having lost her hair in the past from chemo treatments. The stylist Jen kept on putting my daughter down and literally made her cry. She wouldn’t stop with the insults and my daughter and her grandmother said we can’t take this anymore , got up and left without having the treatment done by this women due to her bullying and harassment. My daughter left crying and they both had to go to another Ulta to have her hair done by someone with compassion. It’s a shame a grown women is working at this establishment bullying children. I hope this women knows what she’s done to my daughters self esteem. And feels better about herself about making fun of a cancer survivors hair post loosing it . Which is a traumatic experience in itself. I called and spoke to the manager but all that was said basically was “ I will speak to her .” If you choose to go to this location I would suggest avoiding the stylist named Jen .

On 6/24/24 I was in the store buying makeup and I overheard someone at the counter and the manager was apologizing for her bad salon experience so I should have known better. But I needed my hair cut badly so I went back on 6/25/24 and the girl that cut my hair was very sweet but she said she just got her license so very inexperienced and I told her I wanted shoulder length with layers. She cut my hair to my chin and it’s all one length, no layers. My hair is naturally curly/wavy so I literally look ridiculous, I look like Thomas Jefferson and I in no way asked for a short haircut. She even said “I love short hair on you!” and kept trying to flip the ends out like the 1950’s. On top of that, just a simple wash and cut was almost $60 plus I gave her a tip. I called to talk to the manager about it and she talked like I just didn’t know how to style it correctly. How are you supposed to style hair that makes you look like a colonial man? This is my second bad experience with a “master stylist” at an Ulta salon and believe me when I say NEVER AGAIN!!

The rating would be a 5, but there were just some workers that always have to look sideways at people if you aren't dressed up. I particularly didn't appreciate the male employee's vibe. I quit looking at foundation because of how uncomfortable he made me. If it wasn't for my mother's encouragement, and this trip being for her, I would have just left. Do better not to judge people.

I just moved to Bristol and was looking for a stylist after leaving mine in Florida. I came in to have my brows done by a nice woman named Brooke and she did a great job. I mentioned I was needing a stylist for my hair badly and she recommended their salon and a stylist named Jen. I asked for a partial balayage and grey coverage. She turned my roots reddish brown and put a couple highlights in with no blending. I told her it was red and she offered nothing to fix it. I went home and was in tears. She kept me in the chair talking while she would work on one piece of hair for so long 7 hours went by. I called them the next day and they offered to fix it for me. I went into another inexperienced stylist who did practically nothing to change it. The roots were done again and still had a red tone to them and no blending with the highlights I already had, it was a mess. I was so frazzled from the hours I spent there and the trauma of the experience shaking I even dropped my phone in the parking lot and lost it for an hour until it was found. I was walking around crying, and devastated from the experience. I’ve since found a new salon in Johnson City and an EXCELLENT new stylist, a true professional. I wanted to write this because the past month and a half have been so hard this has truly hurt me. I have damaged my own hair trying to fix their mistakes and thankfully found a new stylist to fix it all. On top of the inexperience of the stylists this salon is SO expensive. They charged me 400 dollars to ruin my hair. Please don’t go there for balayage, highlights, or color. I didn’t want to leave this review because I hate the negativity but the new salon I’ve found is so beautiful and dramatically different in atmosphere, professionalism, and cost I had to leave this. Hopefully someone will read it and be saved from the experience I had. That’s why I did this. God bless!

While using my husbands account to make this post. Customer service for the Ulta is just awful! I’ve had nothing but issues with my credit card for weeks with no help at all!! Contacted them over and over just to be told the same things and nothing being resolved! Seriously about take my services some where else.

This is the worst place. My wife spends a lot money on this place, and this particular store sucks. No one would help her with anything. An employee literally stood within a couple feet and wouldn't even speak, or offer assistance. As a store manager myself if my employees treated our customers that way I'd fire them
