“The selection of products here is excellent. I'd rate the meat market as excellent with choices and most advertised items generally available. The bakery needs more people to keep the fresh items/stock levels up. Some specials in weekly ads are not available, and that's a shame. The store is kept very clean. Pricing overall is higher than Kroger and WalMart, but the quality of items offered, especially produce, is higher and seems fresher. The aisles are wide and spacious. The employees are engaging, kind, and interested in the customer. Food City works to make the shopping experience positive.”

“Virginia Avenue Food City is my favorite in this area. (Of course the location in Abingdon which houses a bar & encourages customers to sip cocktails while shopping is the BEST, but...) The staff is always friendly & helpful. Management is accessible & always strives to resolve customer issues quickly & fairly. Food is fresh & usually well stocked. I definitely recommend this location to others.”

“Since the new owners took over it really changed. Very friendly and the store opens early and doesn't close till 9 or 10. This makes it easier for a lot of people that live on up Holston Mountain. The store is always clean and organized and they remember their regular customers.”
