I love Peter Millar and I've bought from the brand consistently over the past few years. I've stopped into the Brentwood location a few times and every time I've entered I've been met with judgmental looks from the 50+ year olds who work there. I should not be ogled like a rabid animal in a place that aims to be a luxury store. The workers are either extremely slow (mentally) or the most lazy group of adults I have ever interacted with. Each time I've gone in I have to beg to be helped and my requests are always met with a condescending tone or an attempt to make me feel less than. On one occasion I asked to have pants hemmed, which is offered for free, and I was told that I shouldn't because it might take too long. I said I needed them in the next 3 weeks, turnover is a week why would that be too long??? The tipping point was my attempt to return a sweater my dad had bought online. When I walked in I was met with 3 elderly workers staring at me, zero greeting. I broke the ice like a customer should not have to do, just saying hello and one of the employees looked at me and walked away. She did not come back out. One other lady said hi back, the man continued to just stare at me and then go on his phone. When I said I had a return they looked to each other and exchanged mocking faces. The lady, condescendingly of course, said "are you aware that returns must be done within 60 days?," I replied yes, she says "well this looks like it was an online purchase" her face literally a combination of . Please tell me what type of business would only let you return an item you bought in store, in the store??? It literally could not matter less what medium I decided to purchase on. Begrudgingly she began the return and I'm still trying to be positive and uplifting, turning her complaints into jokes. She barely begins and turns to her coworker to say "I'm expecting a call from my friend in Norway, if she calls will you deal with this?" I've never felt more like a burden in a business. I literally made a yelp account solely just to share my experience, it's ridiculous that a generation so anal about working refuses to put in a smidge of effort or kindness into their own job. I'd say I'd never go back, but I will, I hope that I'm met with more competent people the next time I visit.

Truly one of the most outstanding and wonderful customer service experiences in town! Eric and his staff welcome you as soon as you walk in the door-every time- with a smile on their faces. My father has been a customer here since inception, and they treat him like family. Not to mention you’ll be the best dressed for every event, every single time!
Don’t listen to any of these negative reviews (which seem a bit over dramatic). The staff here cannot be beat! And they are all WONDERFUL, professional, and warm.

I’ve been a fan and purchaser of the Peter Millar brand since 2010, I love visiting the Brentwood, TN store. I made a purchase there the first hour it opened several years ago. Customer service is the upmost priority there. The sales staff always go the extra mile.

Customer service was horrible. Susan was the most pretentious person i’ve ever met. All i wanted to do was simply swap my shirt for another size and she made it an hour long process and talked to me as if i was below her. Another customer in the store had to check out with susan and she too was getting frustrated. I’ve never encountered such disrespectful customer service before. I am a fan of the brand itself but if these are the people they are hiring then I don’t know if I will purchase from them again. Would hate for myself or anyone else to go through the same experience I went through.

I don't like writing negative reviews about any business, but I've had it with this store.Mind you, I have bought a good amount from Peter Millar and I like their products. The people who work here need a strong lesson in sales. I believe it's a management issue more than the actual sales people, but the last three times I have been in, I have been instructed to come into the store to do my ordering rather than order online because "it benefits them".Now look, I don't live close to the store. I only come in because it takes 2 weeks to get a refund if you send something back with a label.So they are asking you to drive 30 minutes into their store, to have them get on an iPad that most of them can't use, place an order that is the exact same price as online, and then drive 30 minutes back home when there is NO incentive for me to do so. Most customers don't care if you get credit and they certainly won't waste over an hour to drive to your store for something they can do in 5 minutes at home.If you want people to come into the stores, run in store only deals like buy two shirts, get one 30% off. In store only.Don't tell me to come into the store so that you get credit as I'm sitting there buying a $125 shirt.I hope someone from management actually reads this and changes their policy because I won't be back in this store until that changes.

Went into the store not one person said hello.They finally had to talk to me….because I asked them for a shirt in a different size. Not very friendly at all. I was in my workout cloths and off work that day. I guess they just judged me.Try harder people.

My husband and I walked in looked around and waited for 10 minutes waiting for help without any greeting whatsoever. One Gentleman was working helping a customer in between her phone calls to her husband while we waited for help. The only customer in the store besides us.He did not one time look up or mention anything to us that he would be with us in a few minutes.Shame on him as a representative for Peter Milar!This I the first time that we have ever had terrible service at any of the Peter Milar Boutiques.We will not be back again.Rude Customer Service

Lady working in the store was very nice and accomadating, however their were no big and tall sizes available.
