I want to add an update to my last post. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful Jennifer Mattis is to work with. Her assistance with picking the right furniture and fabrics and assisting with accessorizing our home have been invaluable. Her creativity and attention to detail are both strengths and she is very fun to work with. We could not be more pleased with how our purchases have worked out!
We can't say enough positives about working with Jennifer Mattis at the Brentwood Ethan Allen store! She is very talented and creative and is always focused on ensuring her designs meet your needs, budget and personality. She is a real pleasure to work with and has helped to make our new house feel like home.

Jennifer Mattis is an amazing designer! My husband and I moved from out of state to the Nashville area over a year ago. Though we had most of our furniture shipped to us, our new home required a redesign of our living and family rooms, along with window treatments, chandeliers, rugs, and more throughout the house. Based on the well-known quality of Ethan Allen's furnishings and Jennifer's excellent online reviews, we made an impromptu visit to the Brentwood store and asked to meet her. We were immediately taken with her positive energy and hit it off from the very first moment we met! At our initial in-home consultation, her ability to just look at an empty room and visualize furniture style, placement, fabrics, and colors as a completed project was most impressive. As soon as she expressed her design vision, I could see that we were definitely on the same page and that our journey together was destined to be fun, exciting, and our house would be transformed into an elegant, but warm and inviting place in which to live. She surpassed all expectations! In addition to her awesome creative talent and impeccable taste, her level of service is first class. Further, she is a delightful, wonderful person! I highly recommend her!!

I have had the worst experience with Ethan Allen out of all my furniture shopping experiences. I order furniture in April with the understanding that it would take approximately 4-6 weeks for the furniture to arrive. Well, I received a call today that the sofa is in and the soonest they could deliver it would be next Thursday. I have spoken with the store Manager about my concerns and his total disregard for the matter was disheartening. The Designer that I was working with in no longer working at the store. I will never purchase anything from this store again.

We purchased a bed and chairs from Ethan Allen a year ago. Jenny Grip was our design specialist and she was amazing! Helped us pick the perfect accent chairs for our family room. Her design skills are excellent. About 9 months after the purchase we noticed an issue with the fabric on both chairs, that likely occurred during manufacturing. Jenny immediately handled the issue for us; ultimately replacing the chairs with brand new ones. The entire process was seamless.

I purchased two swivel rocker chairs at the Brentwood store. Taylor Harrell is an excellent resource. I could not be more happy with his professionalism, knowledge, and promptness. When the chairs arrived I found the arm covers did not come close to covering the arms and would not stay on. Taylor helped with ordering longer arm covers that should work well. I give Taylor a wholehearted five stars. Otherwise, I am very happy with the chairs. I do think Ethan Allen should either provide longer arm covers or offer it as an option. That’s why I dropped the overall rating to four stars.

Jenny Grip of Ethan Allen decorated my entire house while I was on assignment out of state. She did a fantastic job. We started with a vision, my vision, which we developed from pictures, many conversations, samples and decoration options. Jenny took the time to understand my tastes and preferences and was the catalyst to developing a vision I fell in love with and was able to see and adjust through a 3D illustration. Every room was planned from furniture to accessories and, in the end, it was a seamless flow of the home I’ve always dreamed of. Jenny is a pleasure to work and she is able to perceive the style and preferences of the client and work within a budget to bring a dream to life. I have since moved from this house and incorporated my furniture, rugs, artwork, etc. into my new home. Where we have needed to make changes and enhancements, Jenny has been my trusted consultant as we added a dining rug, table and accessories for the new house. As Jenny relocated to Tennessee, she worked with me remote and delivered the same exceptional work as when we met in person. Jenny is amazing. At the first house we worked together via email and she not only designed and ordered every item, but she also consulted with me at my house, and was present for delivery and set up the entire house for me. The house was stunning. And, the furniture and other decorations are of a type that I was able to incorporate them into the new home to achieve the same stunning, yet comfortable, result in my new home. I am constantly receiving compliments on my house and am proud of it. Once again she helped me pick out items that fit perfectly and made the new house complete.

I really enjoyed working the Jennifer Mattis in furnishing our new home. I provided Jennifer with pictures and gave ideas of what I was looking for, and she really surprised me with what she came up with. I can tell that she really enjoys what she does and has a good eye at design. She was very quick to answer questions, and provided us with our quote very quickly, that our order was placed the very next day of meeting her. She has a great personality and is very energetic. I would highly recommend Jennifer Mattis to anyone looking to have their home designed or redesigned.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jennifer Mattis. She came to our home and recommended additional pieces that could go with our existing furniture. We appreciated the fact that she didn’t suggest a complete overhaul of what we currently had but more so what would compliment our existing look. We were so pleased with how our living room turned out and could not be happier with the service provided by Jennifer and the entire staff at Ethan Allen.

Jennifer Mattis is outstanding. My husband and I love how personal she made our experience at Ethan Allen. She is truly gifted as a designer and has been courteous, very detail oriented, and makes decorating our home fun rather than stressful. We will be coming to Ethan Allen in the future just to work with her again.

We've been looking for a new sectional for a few months. We were shopping around in the Cool Springs area and passed the Ethan Allen store. It wasn't on my "radar" to stop there, but my husband said let's give them a try. We found a sectional we really liked, but continued to look at some other stores. Jenny Grip followed up with us and I went back the next day to take a closer look. Jenny came to our house and helped us measure our space and look at swatches for the perfect fabric. We couldn't be more pleased. Jenny continued great communication until delivery. So glad we stopped in as we were passing by. We found the right piece for our home. Thanks Jenny and team.

We had a very positive experience working with Jenny Grip at Ethan Allen. She came to our home and helped us determine what pieces might work for us. Not just what pieces we would want but making sure they fit in our home. We saw a model of what our home would look like with the new future which was very helpful in making our decision. The attention to detail that Jenny took to furnish our home is appreciated. I highly recommend working with Jenny and Ethan Allen.
Also, our furniture is beautiful and of great quality. The delivery crew was easy to work with.

Great selection and showroom as you'd expect from an Ethan Allen. We really wanted to hang out and carefully weigh our options and take a deeper dive into the products, specifically couches, but unfortunately our sales associate, Jenny, just didn't know when to back off and give us space. We threw no shortage of social queues her way, but she simply would not relent causing us to make our exit in about a third of the time that we would have spent had we not been constantly bombarded by pushy sales tactics. To be fair, it's possible that our associate is new to the sales profession and has not yet found her groove. I would highly encourage Ethan Allen to not only teach their associates when to act, but also when to back off and read the room more effectively. Each individual customer will be a unique and different sale, so while the hard-sell and constant pressure may work with some, it most certainly will not work with all. We ended up heading down the road less than a mile to a local home decor establishment that was able to give us the assistance we desired and found an outstanding product that we purchased on the spot.
