My husband needed some last minute stuff from the dollar general. He got there 15 minutes before closing. There was someone in the store starting to clean, also the doors were locked. My husband kept knocking and was ignored. Finally the guy came to the door and my husband said he just needed one thing. The worker said he had already counted his register and would not ring up or let my husband in the store. Mind you this is 15'mins before closing. The worker was trying to get out early. So In my opinion the worker stole from dollar general. By not taking my husbands money for the product he needed. And by closing the store early just so he could get out. This happened at 9:45 3/7/24. Just last night. I am furious! This guy needs to be fired! And we don't live very close to the store either! So it was wasted gas, and he didn't get what he needed because some worker wanted to leave 15 minutes early before the store even closed! I will be calling corporate and I am not one of those people! This worker has a horrible attitude and closing the store early before the set time to close!

I have lived in this community over 30 years, in the past 5 yrs ( more so since the pandemic COVID-19) They have had a lot of changes, a high turn over rate in employees. This store has gone through so many changes FOR THE COMMUNITY! The problem is people today just don't want to work, leaving that responsibility on the faithful employees that do show up of work. Also everyone's entitled to having a bad day. I have worked in customer service over 40 years and I can say some customers are rude,demanding, and think they should be catered to wether they are wrong or right. That's just not the case,sales associates will treat you with kindness and respect as long as YOU TREAT THEM THE SAME! Imagine working all day having customers cussing and fussing at you because of prices or because that cashier took her/ his time with a customer up in front of you, maybe they were having to pay with change or their card wasn't working correctly. Whatever the reason, trust me they feel the tension of all the customers behind and waiting and they know one of those customers are going to take that frustration out on them,even though all they did was their JOB! They have managed to clean that store up , expand it's food isles all to benefit the customer to make it more convenient for each and everybody. I believe this store has come a very long way. This is why I still use their store after moving out of that community.I I will continue doing so,I truly wish the public had a better understanding of how THEIR BEHAVIOR CAN AFFECT SOMEONE WHO WORKS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE ARE JUST AN EMPLOYEE THAT COMES IN AND WE TRY TO BRIGHTEN EACH CUSTOMERS DAY,ITS JUST DIFFICULT TO DO WHEN YOUR DEALING WITH RUDE CUSTOMERS AND FELLOW EMPLOYEES THAT DONT WANT TO WORK. So be kind to that sales associate,they are only doing their job and probably someone else's . Have compassion for your fellow HUMAN BEING...

This is one of the smaller Dollar General stores in the area. It's in a great location that is central to everything. Their stock is a bit small and the parking lot could be more accessible. However the place is clean and the employees are very friendly and extremely helpful. The prices are always good as well

The associates are not friendly, but that's not my biggest issue with this place. The issue at its core, is the way the employees are being treated. The abuse of the employees has gotten so bad, that the turnover rate is unbelievably high.I don't blame the employees for how they behave. It is not their fault. If they were treated the way they deserve to be treated, then the experience for everyone would be a lot better.If the people in charge weren't soulless, Dollar General would be a better place.

VERY VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE IM TRAMATIZED BY THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE A PERFECT RECORD ACCUSED ME OF THEFT BROUGHT THE COPS IN LOOKED AT THE CAMERAS THAT PROVED NOTHING HAPPENED WOULD NOT EXCEPT MY MONEY FOR THE ITEMS I HAD AT THE COUNTER IM A REGULAR CUSTOMER OF 7+ YEARS DOING BUSINESS WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A NICE STORE THATS A HALF MILE AWAY FROM WERE I LIVE IM A UPPER MIDDLE CLASS INCOME PERSON THAT JUST SHOPS THERE BECAUSE ITS CONVENIENT TO WERE I LIVE NOT BECAUSE I HAVE TO I NEVER AGAIN WILL STEP FOOT IN ANY DOLLAR GENERAL AGAIN IM DONE THERE'S NO FIXING IT THE GM IS LOSING THE STORE MONEY DOING A PERSON LIKE THAT

I went there to put money on my PayPal. It took 25 min to do and turns out it wasn't put on the card at all. My receipt was misplaced so basically Dollar General stole $23.95 from me

It can really be hit or miss if there is anyone at the register and even more miss on how long it will be for an employee to show up if they aren't there. It seems like there is only one employee in the store at anyone time.
