Wonderful, caring vets and support staff! They have literally saved our dog's life twice. Once when he contracted Parvo at another vet's office at 10 weeks old, right after we found him starving and homeless. They had him for a week and got him through such a horrific illness at his young age and updated us every step of the way. Second was when he had a bout of acute pancreatitis. They were very thorough and even sent his X-rays to an outside specialist to confirm his diagnosis. He is doing so well now and we are incredibly thankful for the exceptional care he received here. He's been through a lot in his 7 months of life so far, but they have given him the absolute best care and he actually likes to go there! We love you guys! Thank you!!

We’ve always been in the VCA network, but this branch has to be the worst by far. They’re incredibly unfriendly, borderline disrespectful, and I’ve never had a bill so high (hundreds more than a typical annual appt)

Seven years ago I moved from Tipton County to Fayette County and needed a vet for my 5 year old (at that time) toy poodle. From the start I was pressured (almost guilted) into allowing them to provide the best quality of care for my fur baby. Who wouldn't want that for them? That first visit for just his annual check up was over $800 but I rationalized it that he was getting the best treatment. If they see you may be wavering over the cost, they oversell this 'Care Club' to help pay for all this over a period of time. I'm thinking I'm doing what is best for my baby. So the next year they convince me to buy into the dental portion of 'Care Club' for his good oral health. It was a financial burden but anything for my baby. Fast forward to 2022. In January, at his regular checkup, I was told by Dr. Mikki that my baby had a heart murmur and needed a $600 CT to see if there was any heart disease. Many questions were asked, his life was not in danger, so I made the financially responsible decision for me, at that time, not to have the CT done. In February of 2022, I took him to have his regular cleaning done. During the procedure Dr Mikki found several bad teeth that needed to be extracted in which I gave my consent to remove. When I picked him up that afternoon I asked about antibiotics and Dr Mikki said she didn't "see" any infection so she didn't prescribe him any. Being a previous dental worker, my thought was you don't always "see" infection but she is the doctor who knows more than me. Less than three weeks later my dog died from a massive heart attack. I immediately contacted VCA and asked why they didn't provide my baby with an antibiotic KNOWING he had a heart murmur and possible heart disease. Their answer? Not in our protocol! After a period of grieving, I contacted several specialty veterinarian dental practices about the protocol that should have been used in an 11 year old with a heart murmur. ALL told me antibiotics should have been utilized before and after any dental extractions. I called the 'Care Club' to explain what happened and asked for the dental charges to be removed as they basically killed my dog. The 'Care Club' said that VCA Eads would have to remove the charges. I called VCA and that's when VCA Eads true colors came out. Zero acceptance of their responsibility, Zero empathy or compassion for me. So I continued to pay that 'Care Club' until the fall of 2022, when I felt I had paid enough to cover the check up he had in January before the cleaning/extractions. I changed my payment method and Care Club was unable to automatically debit my account. The first missed payment, the Care Club contacted me and I again explained this whole ordeal. Fortunately, Care Club was empathetic and said they would make note, apologized for calling me and gave me condolences on my loss. Something VCA Eads has yet to do!!!! IF VCA Eads had realized their mistake, this review wouldn't even be here BUT they are doubling down! Today I get a call from a collection agency harassing me over this bill that they have now enormously overinflated with fees. I am saying this in a public forum just like I told the CA, "I'm not paying you another dime for killing my dog. IF you want to take me to court over this, please do!! I have his bills, medical records, legal representation, along with standard protocol from experts in canine dentistry and statements from other local vet offices showing your prices are overinflated and you perform tests and procedures on animals that are not necessary every single year."

Nice and clean. Staff is so friendly and helpful. They were not over-booked. My dog was seen quickly, and they took care of all of his exams and vaccines in a timely manner. We were in and out.I am very happy with Eads VCA!

If you take your pet to this practice you're being overcharged. $750- 4 vaccinations and tape worm medication with fecal exam for an adopted kitten from mas. You got me, will not happen a second time. If a vet is suggesting essential oil diffusers during casual conversation then you arrive home with a $40 diffuser that you did not agree to purchase and can be bought on amazon for $12 you've been taken. I remember when the doors opened to this building, if this is how you run your buisiness I'll be there to see the doors close as well.

My wife took in stray kitten to get it spayed. They were reluctant to give her a price before the procedure. When we went to pick it up the bill was almost $1000.00. They gave to reasons why. They just told her she signed the papers the she agreed to the surgery. They go the gold mine and we got the shaft.

I recently moved to the area and have been bringing my barn cats to see Dr Sandy. The entire staff is so kind and accommodating and I have been very pleased with the pricing - where I’m from, I would be paying almost twice as much for the care my pets receive. The facility is large and clean and their front staff is flexible and empathetic.Dr Sandy is knowledgeable and patient, willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. She clearly has lots of years of experience and I’m grateful to have her partnership. She recently performed a surgery on one of my cats and went above and beyond to ensure he was safe and healthy before, during, and after the surgery.

I came to VCA because I couldn't take another vet down the road constantly trying to up sell and do tests and procedures that weren't needed. I explained my poor experience to the vet at VCA and was assured that would not be the case at VCA Eads Animal Hospital. Well after spending three hundred dollars at VCA I can tell you I got the same greasy used car lot experience I got at Pet Hospitals. Seriously steer clear of this place. Dont get me wrong they were nice and treated my pet good but they will fleece you for everything they can squeeze you for. When it comes down to it this is a franchise and I'm sure they are trained to drive the numbers up. They don't tell you any prices up front. The vet literally told me they were not a bottom line vet. They tell you that so they can get you coming in again and again to keep you spending. If we had followed everything they recommend we would have spent around one thousand dollars to get our cat spayed.

The vet tech was absolutely precious and understanding of our concerns. We were not pleased with the way our situation was handled. It was unprofessional and we felt we were lied to on various specific aspects of our pets procedure. The situation should have warranted some type of restitution for the person they left in charge who gave us false information... information that was also substantiated when we dropped off our pet. That was a business decision they made leaving their clients in the hand of someone who did not fully disclose and gave false information resulting in literally double the amount originally agreed upon and discussed prior to the procedure. We were also told we were not the only ones to complain about this person...Then at final checkout... they proceeded to tack on more cost, which we refused. This is twice this place has quoted a price to us and has charged us tremendously more than quoted. I have paperwork to prove the quotes. These kind of business tactics are unacceptable. A reputable business would eat the cost of their mistake. Even though they admitted this person had not been truthful with us...There was not even an offer to make it right, which says a lot. They have to live with themselves, knowing the truth.

I can not say enough about this place. Dr. Sandy.... what can I say.....You are the best....We have been part of their family on and off for over 13 years. Probably longer.. Until we finally said no more. We will go no where else until Dr. Sandy had no choice but to refer out Scarlet to a specialist due to her cancer diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Sandy. We have 2 dogs. Both rescues and I say on and off because yes we have tested the waters outside of the tried and true. All I will say is.... you get what you pay for. You will not find a vet in this city that will sit on the floor with you and your four legged family member, realize that your frail furbaby is sitting on a hard concrete floor has no cushioning due to weight lose and request a blanket for her to sit on, let you cry when you get that horrible news, understand when you cry, but tell you here are your options here is the best option for your furbaby when you can't think straight, be compassionate but yet firm and still laugh with you. She is truly like one of our family members. During Covid when she would come to our car, we would be so glad to see her, it was like awe we hadn't seen her in so long. It is important to have confidence the people who are taking care of our four legged family members. There are those out there that are just wanting to pad their pockets. Dr. Sandy and Dr. Tim are not those. They are passionate about their work, show compassion for the human keeper, the four legged family members and the people that work for them. There is a calm and peace about them that make you feel so much better about being there when you have no idea what to expect. Although I haven't gotten to know everyone at the front desk there has been one constant since I have been going to VCA Eads and that has been Ms. Shelia... she is wonderful. Thank you Ms. Shelia. Thank you everyone at VCA Eads for always caring for our Scarlet and Cooper. I know they can be a hand full. One day hopefully Scarlet can get the orange sticker off of her chart..lol and when Cooper comes he will not bark constantly. We appreciate you so much. SR, TN
