I visited the location on 8941 US-64 in Arlington, TN 38002 around 11:30 am on Friday, September 2, 2022. It was my turn to pay and I gave the cashier a $10 bill. She asked me was it real and I was very offended. I told her yes. She pulled a $10 from her drawer and stated my $10 didn't look like hers. I told her I'm not sure what to say because I received that $10 from another store as change. She told me that they gave me a counterfeit bill and I was extremely frustrated. Never have I been as angry and embarrassed and I have never been the type of person to even think of giving a fake bill. I walked out of the store and the cashier and another lady behind the counter started yelling very loudly. I'm unsure of what they said because they were speaking another language. I went to my bank to ask them about my $10 and they checked it and told me it was real and that it was a little "worn" but nothing is wrong with it. I went elsewhere to spend my money. I've been going to Mara thon for a long time and this has completely changed my mind about this particular store. I'm a medical professional and have NEVER dealt with this issue, ever. I've reached out to the company and still haven't heard anything back in almost 2 years. Apparently, they do not care.

On June 26, 2023, at 11:00 am, I visited the marathon station at 8941 Hwy 64, Memphis, TN. There had been a bad wind storm and power was out across much of Shelby County. There were not many stations open due to power outages. This Marathon was one of the few stations open in my area. I was excited to see that they also sold ethanol free unleaded since I needed fuel for our generator. I was in shock to see the price was now $6 a gallon. I was not going to pay that amount since I had just a month prior purchased it for $3.66 a gallon. I could not even select a different grade of unleaded. This was the only option this station was allowing the customers to choose. That is nothing but price gouging during a public emergency. I had to have the fuel to keep my generator operating, so I had no choice but to pay that price. I will not be a customer of Marathon again and I will let everyone I know of this station’s business practices.

None of the pumps would work. The store stunk. Everything was filthy. There was trash all over the parking lot. And to top it off the attendant creeped me out by repeatedly telling me how pretty I was then licking his lips.
