I was amazed. I learned so much about the artist. The humble family man that shared his gift with the world. Very grateful that his son had the vision to continue his legacy through this gift to the community. I teared up several times during the tour.

This was easily one of the nicest "museums" I've ever been to. I highly recommend checking out Mr Redlin's "An American Portrait" collection (although it may cause some tears), located on the second floor, right next to his famous "America the Beautiful" collection. I would also like to point out that admission is 100% FREE. Other than if you were to purchase an item from one of the gift shops, it costs absolutely nothing to experience the wonderful art that the Art Center has to offer. You are also allowed to take photos, but ONLY WITH YOUR CELLPHONE WITHOUT USE OF THE FLASH. Photo (or video) cameras are prohibited due to their flash. I would include my own photos, but that would defeat the purpose of visiting yourself!

What an experience! We learned alot about Mr Redlin's decades of artwork and styles of painting. Very nice tribute to him and his talent. We already own the print From Sea to Shining Sea and did not realize he created a series of 8 paintings from the first 8 stanzas of America the Beautiful with ours being the last of the 8. It has a nice layout, elevators, very clean and plenty of restrooms. There are two gift shops. The staff is very very friendly and knowlegeable and will answer any question you have.

??In Watertown, where whispers blend,
The Terry Redlin Art Center stands,
A haven where the heart extends,
And dreams are brushed by artist’s hands.
Amidst the prairie's endless sweep,
Within these walls, the spirit stirs,
Where Redlin’s visions softly seep,
Through painted scenes and whispered words.
Each canvas tells a tale of light,
Of twilight’s kiss and morning’s grace,
Of nature’s dance in day and night,
And memories time can’t erase.
Wildlife thrives in strokes so fine,
Fields of gold, and skies so blue,
A tender world, a sacred shrine,
Where every hue feels pure and true.
Gaze upon the countryside,
Feel the warmth of evening’s glow,
In each piece, a story hides,
Of simpler times and lives we know.
The art, a gentle reverie,
A touch of peace, a breath of air,
A bridge to all that used to be,
A place to linger, pause, and care.
In Watertown, where dreams align,
The Terry Redlin Art Center calls,
Step inside, the world’s design,
And lose yourself within its halls.

A beautiful building and grounds.
Paintings depict an earlier and idyllic time.
Definitely worth a visit.

Although it’s been 23 years since I visited, this place is very dear to me. My dad introduced me to Mr Redlin’s art and spoke highly of him. Visiting this museum was a bucket list item for my dad and I was so glad he was able to get there. I lost dad in 2021 and I think often of the trip we went on that brought us through Watertown and to this incredible place. I hope to return again someday with my family. What a true gem and what talent Mr Redlin had.

Not sure this place really needs any more reviews. It is a 4.9 out of 5. That said, pondering Terry Redlin’s paintings is a worthy use of your time and the fact that it is free admission means nobody should pass on this one. The staff were also EXCEPTIONALLY friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable. Go. You won’t regret it.
