It's cheaper than most stores. They manage to keep our grocery costs down. The stores are always clean, and the staff is always friendly. Wider isles than most stores, too!

As a store it's usually fairly clean. However they don't ever have enough employees working. Also they don't keep up with expiration dates on products as I personally have purchased expired items several times and had to bring them back. My wife actually has photographed the expiration dates on items in the store that were well over a year old! That was a dog skin and coat treat. Be very weary of what you purchase here as it could be expired. They have nobody working that's responsible enough to make this a priority, which means their management is a joke. Food safety should Always be at the top of the list for a grocery store, ALWAYS!
The Dollars may be "Fresh" but the food isn't necessarily.
Other than that, the shelves are usually well stocked. They have self checkout and help may or may not be available because of 1-2 people working at any given time in the store.
