First of all this place smells terrible. EWWWW. This past week was my second time visiting Style Encore in the past three years. I brought in my new or gently used clothing for sale but was treated so rudely I debated if it was even worth it. I decided to give the place a second chance only to have my driver's license scanned into their data base. I don't know how they protect my personal information but if they treat it like this store is maintained I need to put a security hold on my data which I did upon leaving the building. The only thing they deemed worthy of their trashy store was a dress that is 8 years old. So much for their two year policy. I recommend you sell your clothing on Facebook Market, Ebay, or wait for one of the numerous retail stores to have a sale where they take your old clothes as trade in for credit towards new clothing. Style Encore's merchandise is over priced, dirty (that's why the store smells so bad), and your driver's license data is illegally mined. Oh and lets not forget the absolutely terrible customer "service". Stay away.

Don't waste your time!! What a joke! They NEVER take my designer clothes that are in perfect condition and CLEAN! That's more than I can say for the items in the store. Dirty and shabby condition.

I don't know where to start. I have purchased a lot of clothing here, most of it pretty good deals. But wow, NO customer service! I wish I would have read the reviews before going here. Don't ask any questions, because they won't help you and NEVER expect a thank you upon checking out, because you won't get one. Last Friday, 4/5/24, was the worst I've seen. Just trying to get a fitting room was a joke, apparently the girl running the fitting rooms couldn't speak, because I asked a question and she just looked at me like I was an alien. To top it off, I spoke with the manager today and she was the worst of all of them! It all makes sense now, if the manager doesn't care about how the employees treat customers, then you can't expect the employees to care either. Very sad.

This place is a joke.. I brought in 3 baskets of name brand clothing and they brought nothing!! But yet they advertise they buy clean name brand items (really?).. Also the customer service could use alot of improvements!! Very unpleasant experience!!

A great place to go for deals on clothing but definitely do not expect customer service… at all. Employees are beyond rude, will sigh and work around you while you try to shop, carry on conversations almost going out of their way to ignore customers. Asking for a fitting room is a huge inconvenience and even checking out seems like such a bother to them. A simple “thank you, have a great day” would be nice.
I enjoy the deals but unless staff steps it up soon I’m done supporting this business.
SF desperately needs a consignment shop where customers can feel somewhat appreciated.
If you’re looking to sell, it’s super hit or miss. Some of the stuff for sale you wonder how they took it ( Walmart brands for regular price, things with missing buttons or hems coming undone, stains) but they pass on name brand in season items… I can’t figure out their system so I’d rather post on marketplace or donate.

Was frustrated because I have brought in very gently used KanCan and Men's Silver brand jeans and they said they would not offer due to wear and brand. Turned around and sold online with no problem

Went in to look around my 14 year old wanted some athletic pants, they had them but at more then the retail price brand new. And1 $17.88 on the original store tag which is still on the pants but on the style price tag they have them marked as $24. A lot of the women's clothes looked like they are fairly decent priced however men's cheap athletic pants are marked above what they should be.

Very young staff with questionable taste. Took my cheapest, Target variety clothes yet turned away high end items recently bought and barely worn. If you are looking to sell back and buy cheap stuff this is the place for you.

If I were able to give 0 stars, I would. The employees at the store made us wait for damn near an hour just to tell us that they weren't able to accept what we were trying to sell due to a small stain that could easily be removed with a simple wash. They were rude and unprofessional, making snarky remarks and refusing to properly inspect our items. This was a complete waste of time.
