Unfortunately this credit union has went down hill very quickly in the last year. They also change credit card processors every year or two so you get new cards that don't work and have to deal with that for 3 months every couple years. Was told they couldn't open a certain type of account for us, then a week later we are asked why we didn't open said account when we contacted upper management about it.

Bluestone FCU is not willing to cash their own checks without having to pay a fee, they wanted $500 this morning. Yes, $500 to cash a check, not a typo. Don't accept payment from Bluestone without having the fee added to that payment.

I saw an ad for low rate vehicle loans - the process was easy, and they were so helpful! As my vehicles have changed, I continue to get my loans through Bluestone. I can count of them. Scott was great help on my most recent loan, which I needed fast because my jeep was totaled in an accident. Highly recommend Bluestone!

I had a bad experience with Karen at this branch. I had decided to get a new car so I went to her to get my car loan set up. When she was sitting down with me talking about all the options she made it seem like such a good idea to get a warranty, insurance and a few other extra items added on to my car loan but I never seemed to see or hear about a cost difference. When I went online to pay my first payment, I came to realize that all that extra stuff she put on my loan was approximately $300 extra a month which I couldn't afford. I never remember her telling me the difference in my loan payment with the extra things on my loan, especially approximately $300 extra which I would have noticed, so I called her and asked her to remove those things from my loan. When I talked to her she was very snobby and responded unprofessionally to my questions and concerns. It seemed as if she might have been getting commission off of signing me up for the warranty and the other items and she was upset that I was cancelling them. I felt like a number to her and didn't feel like she respected that I couldn't afford to have those extra things on my loan. I hope no one else had this sort of experience and that she can learn to act professionally even when something doesn't quite go her way.
