Very disappointed. The ATM at at the S. LOUISE BRANCH froze and withheld my son's check without depositing the money in his account. It has been 10 days without having his money in, multiple phone calls and in person visits. My son works very hard while being full time students to support himself. He is paying off a car loan using this checking account as well as his college tuition. Not having his check deposited properly and in a timely manner creates unnecessary stress on our household budget. We are frustrated from our experience, and even if we have been customers for many years with 4 checking and 2 saving accounts we will not hesitate trusting our business elsewhere should this case has not been resolved immediately. Also we are ready to file a complaint using the South Dakota Division of Banking Consumer Complaint Form and mail or fax it to the Division of Banking, as well looking into legal advice for that matter.

Where do I begin?
I was a member of Great Western Bank for years, and had no issues with them.
In the year or so since these folks have taken over, theyve:
Penalized me for living paycheck to paycheck and not having enough in my savings account.
The tellers have given me the incorrect amount of money, sometimes more than what I asked for, but they've also tried to short me.
The app sucks, and I can't always transfer money when I need to.
They've lied about dates that I've transferred money, despite the app showing when they occurred.
Credit card payments have been lost.
And when I asked to whom I would file a complaint, they tried to take the complaint themselves, effectively preventing me from going over their heads.
I will NEVER recommend this "financial institution" and will do everything I possibly can to prevent anyone from doing business with these people.

They cheat the little guys and small businesses. Businesses that are struggling a little bit, they gouge em, charge them service fees if the balance goes below $500. So stupid and ridiculous. They will suck every lttle penny they can out of you for stupid reasons. I miss Great Western Bank.

Great Western Bank would return my calls if I left a message. Now, I cannot even get a call back from a branch so I have to call the service department where sitting on hold seems to be the norm. Customer Service doesn't seem like a priority.

I don't know how you can be closed on the weekends. This why I am switching to First Premiere bank. The drive though hours say 8 am and online says 9 am. 9 to 5 closed weekends.

best service I've ever had from a bank, spent hours with me sorting out an online payment issue when my old bank home federal merged with them. always friendly and helpful. but it's still a bank, so 4 stars

I like being able to go in and talk to a live person. With the amount of internet fraud these days, I'm glad I have to go in to make changes to my account. I keep a low account balance because I'm old school and prefer to deal in cash whenever possible, but the staff never questions this and still treats me with respect.
