Last summer my wife and I began looking for a granite contractor to complete an upgrade on our kitchen. I designed and drew out our new island and measured all of our counters. We look at multiple contractor and decided to go with Home Depot in part because of the great deal and secondly because of the backing of Home Depot. This was during the beginning of the pandemic and we knew there would be delays. We ordered the cupboards and I installed them after the 12 week wait. From there, we waited another two month to get the vendor to our house for templating. After templating, we waited another 12 weeks to schedule the install after having zero communication. I had to hound both Home Depot and the vendor to get anything done. We were told after the install that the vendor would call us to schedule measuring for the full backsplash. 5 months later and many, many calls from me to anyone that would listen, the vendor came and measured for the backsplash. Now Home Depot is trying to change the contract and charge me an additional $1,000 and hold my project ransom. My advice is to never use Home Depot for a 3rd party project. They take forever and lack communication and in the end the 'good deal' becomes not so good with surprise add-ons that they don't even communicate.

I ordered some power tools that I needed in a hurry while out on the road. I selected "Curb side pick up," and was very pleased with the amount of time it saved me. I was also extremely impressed with the customer service of "Luis N." as he was extremely tentative and thorough, and his customer service was impeccable. This man deserves a raise in such hard times as these. I will be back because of him.

we bought an 800 dollar freezer 6 months ago through Home Depot. Three weeks after filling it with meat, the top 2 shelves thawed out, ruining the meat. Four service calls later we still don't have a freezer we can use and they are still dragging their heels on refunding our money or replacing the freezer.

On 4/18/21 my girlfriend and I were paying for our items at the self-checkout counter, when an older woman who worked there began hovering extremely close to us, meticulously checking every item we scanned. When the receipt printed out, she snatched it out of my girlfriend's hand to check over every purchase that was listed. I don't usually toss the word racism around lightly but the man before us in line was white and she didn't do that to him. My girlfriend and I are POC and felt totally disrespected. After the encounter, she didn't even say "Thank you." Also, she wasn't socially distancing. Terrible encounter that left us feeling disheartened.

Flowers have neonics on them and it is poisonous to bees. Shame on Home Depot. They are banned in Canada and Europe for this very reason. They are the main culprit in colony collapse disorder.

I'm not sure how many people I talked to about my LG appliance issue but every single phone call and every single person treated me with respect and great concern for our situation. I can't thank them enough for all of their help and getting a crazy situation resolved.

Wanted to purchase a Husky tool chest combo that is priced very well. Went to the store 3 times to check it out and get some questions answered, stood there for over 20 minutes each time and even asked to have a tool specialist to come over and answer my questions, no one ever came to the department to help. Finally on the third trip I grabbed someone to get one down so I could purchase. Got the unit home, assembled the base and opened the top tool box, it was damaged so badly that I couldn’t open the lid. Another 80 miles round trip to swap out the upper box with no apologies. Now I finally have a tool box but no matching keys. Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a box store.

This is one of four home improvement stores in Sioux Falls. (Home Depot, Menards, Lowe's, Fleet Farm). Each store has different selection of items. This store is in a good location. They have an indoor lumbar yard. Large selection of tools, flooring, garden center and any home improvement items. Prices are average. I am here about once a month. Staff is friendly and helpful when you can find someone.

They don't stand behind their installs! Has a two hour phone call, bounced all over from one person to the next and ended up with zero help or ownership of the install job

Home Depot is a great company and this store met almost all my expectations. Would've rated this store worse than this if it wasn't due to corporation being great. This store is not on my return list due to them not having any, I repeat ANY, cashiers open. I abhor self checkout for some simple reasons. Primarily putting someone out of work as the self checkouts as they are are only the beginning. Next is that am doing the company's work for them and not getting any tangible benefits. Know am in the minority here but, when an option, ALWAYS spend few extra minutes in long cashier line. BOO ON THIS HOME DEPOT, BOO!

Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! Had looked online for items we needed. Everything we needed was in stock!! Yay! Get to the store after we had taken time off work, and half of it isn't in stock!!! BOO!!!! OK, so we order it because we were told by them it would be in the next day and they would deliver it to us and waive the delivery fee. Great! That was March 26th, the next day I called to find out why it hadn't been delivered yet and they said it wasn't in but would

Seems like a multi million dollar company should have a handle on customer service, or maybe that's the issue. I've been trying to get flooring installed for 5 weeks. When you set it up at the store all is well but then they turn it over to a contractor who calls you for installation date. Everything is delivered 3 days prior. No problem. But then there's an issue when they arrive. Long story short. My flooring is still not complete and I'm wondering why I tried to save a few bucks with a company who could care less. If all goes as planned it may have not been an issue but Home Depot is far too busy selling more flooring to the next person and would rather not deal with issues after you pay them.
