A pretty good selection of fragrances, employees are generally nice but can be "overly helpful"

I came in to check out their cosmetics department. The first time I walked through, nobody acknowledged me. As a former AE/trainer/freelancer/regional artist/counter person in cosmetics, any brand would be mortified to have any of these people behind the counter. It was just employees on their phones talking about OCD, or staring into space. Dillard's is truly the bowels of retail, Macy's is actually "classier." When I walked back through, someone asked if I needed help in an extremely unprofessional, speedy way. At that point, I had purchased what I needed at Sephora, which was Tom Ford and Gucci fragrance, Dior concealers, and went to my car and left. For a retailer that is trying to "elevate" their beauty experience, think things over. You'll never compete with the service of Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom, so get that out of your head. Yeah, I want to buy a $200.00 cream and have it put in a plastic bag that breaks! Great job, Dillard's! Also Kudos to the guy in the Psycho Bunny department for saying hello as I was leaving.

Let me start by saying I was very pleased with the gentleman that first showed me around. Showing me all the different brands and styles and locations of such. Until who I believed to be a manager named Carrie shoo'd him away as if he had somewhere else to be.. in my opinion seemed to be aggressive and not a good representation of a sales person, made me want to leave the store immediately. Didn't seem like a team member I would want to be around on a day to day.

If you are looking at suits... One of the guys that work with the suits was so rude. He kept pushing for what he was wanting us to have rather than listening to what we wanted. When we were getting a suit sized out he kept calling my husband fat. Said something about his size atleast 5-8 times.. "big ol beefy man,"I am too in my 2nd trimester, " then proceeded to have him touch his stomach. "He's got a stomach" ect. was not impressed. Did not make either of us comfortable. When he was getting dressed, the guy just sat texting on his phone texting rather than making conversation. They did have their vendors there that day, and they were very professional throughout our conversation.

Went to go get sized for a suit for my wedding never have I been more insulted. I'm 6'3 265 lb Chauncey was the one sizing me for my suit and told me to lose weight and come back to get it tailored.... Been working customer service for 6 years now, never once have I ever said anything as rude to a customer. Chauncey if you're reading this learn some decency. And no this wasn't a one time comment, he had to mention it about 5 times and with other comments like "you have an unfortunate body shape" or "man why are you so big"

How wonderful to visit a beautifully designed, sparkling clean store with a definite big city vibe. Gorgeous displays, many new brands to Sioux Falls and great service. Welcome to Sioux Falls, Dillard’s! I’m glad you are here.

So excited y'all now have a Dillard's. I'm from SF, but we've lived down south for many years, where Dillard's stores are ubiquitous. They are THE BEST stores, absolutely high quality and great sales. I can't wait to come home to visit and check out y'all's Dillard's. Sounds like they went big. Happy for Sioux Falls to have this where beloved Younkers originally stood.

First of all, the person who gave a one star review about the store being “snooty and overpriced ” is not accurate as they don’t realize that this store has not even opened its doors yet. It’s not even open for business until March 2024. So beware of the one star reviewers! They may be giving false info or info without accurate knowledge or just their generalized opinion. That being said, Dillards is my favorite department store chain and I am so excited they are going to open this new store in SF! I love the high end brands they carry and the wide variety of options they have. We need a fresh store like this in the mall and we welcome it!
