Had a bad experience with this service A bank account and credit card was mysteriously opened in my wife’s name in Sioux Falls which we were lucky to catch before it caused us problems.
I should have cancelled the account then but it was inconvenient at the time Just a few days ago they charged our credit card $100 with a 3% fee to ‘replenish postage’’ without letting us know they were doing it and despite the fact that there was enough money in the account to get through the year with what we spend
When I told them I was unhappy with the service and would cancel and wanted a refund, they said the contract was non-refundable.
As they are located in South Dakota we have no recourse

They won’t tell you that your 2A rights will be taken away if you do this. Should be listed in their FAQs. Can’t purchase a firearm in South Dakota with a PMB address.

I have been using this as my address for about 3 years.
Everyone has been so nice and helpful. I would highly, highly recommend using it if you are having to travel or move around lot. 5 out of 5......more like 10 out of ten!!

Do not recommend at all unfortunately. The staff seemed nice enough at first but they were unable to set up my account because it required extra work due to a unique circumstance. They left me on read for weeks while I was out of the country and it was awful. After politely following up a few times, they refused to work with me. This place seems like they don't value your business or want to help at all. I would not reward them!
I ended up going with South Dakota Residency Center which was way better! They went above and beyond to help me and setup my account in a quarter of the time I had spent with DakotaPost. Plus their offices are in Spearfish which is a really cool area to visit. And the people there are lovely. Plus it's cheaper :)

Very limited online portal for managing mail and no visibility to see how much shipping they will charge you prior to sending you your mail. Only option to ship via USPS or FedEx and be warned that their FedEx prices are OUTRAGEOUS! $50 to send a .4 lb FedEx Envelope Express Saver which was only $17.85 on FedEx.com. No service to deposit checks. Have had issues with them not sending all of my mail when I have requested to "Send All". Falling way behind competition.

Pros: I like the scanned mail with being charged for a picture of the envelope. They are helpful getting residency for the first time, especially registering vehicles.
Cons: They charge twice as much money, as nearby servicers, for the following years when you won't need any special services.

I used them before for a few years. I was and am a over the road truck driver. Where ever I chose to take break or vacation, my mail was foreword to me. I turn 65 next year. I will use them again as I plan to travel and live outside the country Great service and good no state tax state.
