Beware – Misleading Sales and Poor Service
I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Veracruz from this dealership less than six months ago with the help of my father, expecting a reliable car for my daughter to use for school and work. After spending $8000 on the car, including repairs, the engine failed within six months.
I approached the dealership, and they initially led me to believe I could replace the engine for around $2000 (excluding labor costs). However, after waiting for an answer, I was suddenly quoted $5000, which is nearly the same amount I paid for the car.
I feel completely misled and taken advantage of, especially since this car was meant to help my daughter, who is about to start college out of town. I trusted them to provide a reliable vehicle, but instead, I ended up with a costly lemon. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them, as they seem more interested in selling faulty cars than in providing honest service.

I’ve now purchased three vehicles from 605 Automotive, and each one has been fantastic! From start to finish, the buying experience has always been smooth and professional. My first purchase was back when the dealership was still known as Dakota Cars and Credit, and even then, the service was top-notch. The owners and sellers, Dave, John, and Beth, are all incredibly helpful, making every step of the process easy.
Their mechanics, Henry and Gordy, are also outstanding—they’ve always managed to get my vehicles serviced quickly, often on the same day. I highly recommend 605 Automotive for anyone looking for a great car-buying experience!

605 automotive has been one of the best car buying dealership’s in Sioux Falls, 2 vehicles later and me and my family are still coming back!! John got us into a very well maintained Honda Cr-V, it was reasonably priced and had a fantastic maintenance history, John did whatever he could to get us into our beautiful Cr-V. Any issues we had with our previous vehicles which has only been preventive maintenance was a one stop shop, in and out same day! You cannot find that especially at what they charge! Overall the process took less than an hour to get the keys and go, big thanks to John and Dave at 605 Automotive wish I could give 10 stars but google only allows 5. :(

I and the wife bought a 2008 Honda Civic from them, been all over the Midwest and even Texas and back, moral of the story, they sell great and reliable vehicles. 605 Automotive will always be our first choice when we need a new car, the owner and staff are great people, family oriented and understanding, my mother bought a 2007 Toyota Sienna from them years ago and it still runs and drives, it literally has almost 400,000 mi on it ha ha!, You guys rock!

Awesome customer service. My wife and I were in the market for a safe AWD daily driver. The owner Dave was there by himself, letting everyone else enjoy the holiday weekend (it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving). He gave us the carfax on several different vehicles we were looking at and had us drive each one. We ended up going with a Honda CRV (my wife has been wanting one of those for a while) and the Dave had his finance manager come in and build a loan based on our needs. Very happy with the car and the whole experience. Will be using this place again when we need another vehicle.

I can't thank 605 Automotive enough! I was on my way to Iowa to visit my grandma who was recently put on hospice, when I broke down on the interstate and my vehicle was dropped off at 3pm at 605. They dropped everything and had me back on the road before 6pm! I would recommend this shop to anyone!THANK YOU again 605!
