Comfortable and clean space, great location (across the street we found good food and beer) and nice and welcoming folks at the desk. Exactly what we needed for a great price!

You can't find nicer people! The owners/staff really made us feel welcome, they were so friendly the kind that make you want to come back again and again! The rooms were clean and the little kitchen was beautiful. The location was absolutely perfect and ssooo easy to find!Rooms: The room was clean, the kind where you don't mind walking barefoot in. They also had a beautiful little kitchenette in them and full size fridge!Noteworthy details: I can't say enough about how amazing the staff and owners were. They just really made you feel like family and just so welcoming to everyone. Asking you what you're doing today and seeing if they can give you advice on anything in the area!

Cute little place. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Clean room. Hot shower. Budget friendly. Our king-size room had a full-size refrigerator, stove top, sink, and microwave. Would recommend and will stay again if we're ever back in the area.

The main reason that I didn't give all 5 stars is because when we checked in this past Thursday evening (10-12-23) there was a winter storm warning in several areas, including Rockerville, after checking in we went right over to our cabin (it was about 6pm so it isn't like we were a late check in or anything) and the cabin was FREEZING. And by freezing I mean it was almost as cold inside as it was outside...and it was snowing. Now, I understand that turning on heat isn't cost effective, but they knew that cabin was booked and could have AT MINIMUM put the heat on 60 or something. It was awful to arrive to after driving a good chunk of the day and our poor kiddos were miserable. Other than this the cabins are beautiful, the area is beautiful and it's a great location...*Reply to Owner*- Yes, once we arrived we turned on the unit (it was completely off, I believe) and it worked well after it rose to an appropriate temperature.Nearby activities: Mt. Rushmore is barely 20 minutes away or you can go the other way and explore Rapid City and everything in between.

Friendly staff in the office, nice area. The room which we have had was very small, only one chair. The double bed stand on one Side on the wall. For a cabin with four beds incredible small. But we we spend only 100 $/ per night.

We stayed here in July and it was wonderful! The room was clean and roomy. We had our kids (17 and 23) so the room with the 2 queen beds and futon was PERFECT. Having a bigger fridge/freezer was nice to unload our coolers and refreeze our ice packs for the night. There were plenty of bbq grills outside available for cooking in addition to the stove in the room. Being able to park right outside our door made unloading and loading easy. The lodge was busy but quiet and we never heard a thing from other guests. The service was amazing as well. We will be back the next time thru!

Just okay, lacking cookware and utensils in the kitchens. What items were in the kitchen were scratched and unusable (pans). No sponge for dishes, no extra paper towels. I could hear the people above me and beside me using the toilet, shower and walking/breathing which made it insanely hard to sleep! Very LoudLocation was good as you were close to rapid city and custer state park. I just thought the rooms could be elevated and cleaner (very dusty tables, side tables, TV, lamps which I wiped down for my stay).

This is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but not in a bad way. It is still very drivable to more touristy areas, and it is peaceful. The rooms were moderately clean (a little bit in the corners kind of thing) and very well kept. No elevator to upper floors. The beds were not uncomfortable. The rooms have nice kitchenettes. There is a pool and playgrounds, so for the price, this is really not bad. The breakfast is really more of coffee and toast/cereal. The biggest issue for me was the bright light on the upper deck shone into the room through the blinds. Could really have used some blackout curtains. Overall, not a bad stay.

Stayed here in June. We were greeting by very kind employees that were super helpful!! The room was perfect for our stay and was spotless when we arrived. The location is beautiful, you are surrounded by the black hills of South Dakota:) highly recommend! Will be staying here the next time I visit!!

Room is quaint & clean. The only drawback is that it was busy and my "neighbors" were not quiet when they got up and left at 5am. Nothing the staff can do about that, I know, but be aware that if it's around time for the annual motorcycle rally you may be surrounded by loud bikes and
