My local Dollar General is the worst in the company for many years and many managers. Corporate should get their s*** together.

I'm in a wheelchair. I haven't been able to shop in the Redfield Dollar General store for so many months I can't even remember the last time I was there. I am very excited for the new store that is coming and hoping the new store understands the importance of stocking shelves and not leaving massive carts lining the aisles. It's really sad how mismanaged the store is because it actually could be very successful.

An absolutely abomination. Garbage on the floors, displays tipped over, too many stock carts pushed down too many aisles. Could not pass down at least 50% of the aisles due to too much merchandise. Shelves were empty, cardboard everywhere to slip on. Staff at the counter was pleasant but not attempting to work much at all.

It is hard to shop in a store where the employees don't care about the way the store looks are CUSTOMERS SERVICE!! THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE ITEMS ON THE shelves and inventory all over in the way.

While not quite one of Dante’s circles of hell, this store at times can be an experience of some sort of bad dream/hell realm. Aisle after aisle is blocked with yet-to-be-stocked products, forcing one to back up out of each aisle to proceed to the next.If one is in a precarious mental state, this store will try your patience/resolve/equipoise. However, if you persist within this labyrinth, you will most likely find the item you came in for — and a sense of well-earned victory.

They have a new manager and she is the nicest person. While I was putting my stuff in my car and she asked me if I found what I was looking for. Then she offered to take my cart back in so I wouldn't have to. I know they have a hard time keeping managers but I hope they can keep this one for quite awhile.

This dump is the most pitiful excuse of a "store" I have ever seen. Rather than stocking shelves, workers just cut open cases of product and place them in the walkway, next to the shelf they are supposed to be on. There are dozens of rolling carts of product waiting to be put away all over the entire store blocking the shelves, as well as shopping carts of garbage- packaging and the likes. It is nearly impossible to get to the shelf you need to access and even if you are able to get to the location you need, the shelves are empty anyways, and the products you're looking for are in one of the dozens of carts of products waiting to be stocked. Its impossible to get a cart through the store. I feel horrible for persons with mobility issues using wheelchairs or scooters. I was once in there and heard an elderly lady telling a manager that she was at the store for the 4th time that day seeing if they had unpacked the dog food yet- the worker rudely told her to start digging through boxes. Not only is this place a huge inconvenience to shop at, it is also extremely unsafe for customers and workers. If there were to be a fire or power outage, nobody would be able to make it to the exit, as the walkways and fire exits are all blocked. I have already heard of multiple shoppers being injured by trip hazards. Management used to cite "staffing issues" as an excuse, but this place now has more workers on duty than it ever has before. This place should be shut down.

Not the one in Redfield SD. Shelves are never stocked. Carts full of inventory sitting in the isles blocking anyone from getting items or to items. Not handicap friendly. This is a vital store to the community and we can not get to items.

The employees are awesome... They really could use some help though from their upper management or corporate. So if you were one of those people and are reading this... Please send help and pay attention to them they are doing a great job with the small number of employees they have. We need the Dollar general in town.

This store is so important to our small community. They work their butts off but can't find enough help, which makes putting merchandise away almost impossible. It's hard getting through the isles almost always. Sad situation.

I only gave 1 star because I am unable to give them a ZERO!! They have the EXITS BLOCKED, you can't go down half the isle due to them being BLOCKED! When a disabled lady tried to make a complaint about not being able to move around the store the store manager told her "whats your point" & told her to leave her store. This place is a joke! Pretty sad when when you can't shop because 70% of the shelves are BLOCKED!!!!! This place is a FIRE HAZZARD & a dangerous place to go into.
