I'm giving this review because they don't warranty the products they sell and the services they preform. And they charge way more than a dealership. They basically keep you out of the loop so they can charge you more.
Very poor excuse for a diesel shop took them 2 weeks to put parts in that never made 2000 miles,then would not warranty

I have been taking my diesel trucks to Rapid Diesel for upwards of 12 years. Jackie and the team have done an outstanding job each time. Everything from replacing a blown engine in a beloved ol 7.3 to installing an extra large Titan fuel tank in a new Ram for heavy highway mileage. I have had a number of issues through the years with my trucks that were difficult to isolate and took some time to fix but they kept working on the issue until they resolved it. Oil leaks can be a nightmare!! If you know you know!! Diesel repairs can be expensive, and I have spent quite a bit at Rapid Diesel over the years, at times things turned out to be worse than originally hoped which of course adds up and can be frustrating but I will tell you this I have never walked away feeling like they didn't do right by me and that says a lot!!!! These days it's hard to find folks/businesses you feel like you can trust but they have earned mine. If someone else told me they would fix my truck for free, I'd still bring it to Rapid Diesel instead!!!

I’m giving Rapid Diesel 5 stars because they saved our vacation. They got me in on short notice and got me out in reasonable time. Obviously they charge what they have to for the service they provide. I am grateful for the work they did and they even cleaned up my interior after the service. Thank you Rapid Diesel for excellent customer service and a job well done.

We were visiting the area with our RV, and the truck started the death wobble. They were able to get us in fairly quickly and diagnose the issue. The best part of our experience was being given a ride back to our campground over 20 miles away. They also came to pick us up when the work was completed. That is how you take care of customers! Thanks Rapid Diesel!

Made an appointment as we were traveling thru SD to get the fuel filter changed. Wound up getting an oil change as well. Very knowlegeable folks and easy to work with.However, after changing out my truck's FCA and sending unit (only 3100 miles later) I decided to do the fuel filter as well to be thorough. In doing so, I found that my truck still has the original fuel filter housing and an old-style filter. RDS said that I already had an upgraded housing so the filter change wouldn't be an issue.It's clear from the state of the housing and filter that it was not changed even though I was charged for it.EDIT:Jackie @ RDS did some sleuthing and tracked me down to make this right. It was an error on the technician's part and they owned it (hey, everyone makes mistakes).I just KNEW that this was a solid shop with a stand-up team from my first interaction with them. You can see it in their reviews and this is why I took my truck to them in the first place. I was very surprised by the filter and it actually hurt a bit to write the review. However, I will not hesitate to use them again the next time we go through Rapid City!

We were on a trip from Wyoming to Minnesota and we had a turbo line blow off, Rapid Diesel went above and beyond to get us on the road right away!!! Amazing customer service!!!!

Our truck broke down between Rapid City and Hot Springs on Aug 28th 2023. I called around to diesel repair services and no one could look at it till the end of Sept. I called Brandan at Rapid Diesel and he said to tow it there and he would look at. The next day they had it fixed. Thank you Brandan and your crew for getting us back on the road so fast and we could finish our journey. Brad B.

While recently traveling from out of state we had trouble with our diesel truck. Called several places, Jackie was the only one to offer solutions over the phone, we were able to get it going and were able to enjoy our vacation. Thank you Jackie for taking the time to help troubleshoot!

We are on the road, we had an issue with the engine light turning on , called a few shops and could help me in a week or two, Called Rapid Diesel , stopped in and the gentleman behind the desk went out in the shop ,came out with what he needed and we were out of there in 20 minutes. Small caring shop with a heart of gold

Called Brandon, the service writer yesterday and had me in the very next day. Problem was resolved in an hour and a half at a very reasonable price. Customer service was outstanding. I'll be coming back for all my service at Rapid Deisel.
