On my way home to Ohio my differential started to have a leak. I pulled in without an appointment and they took a look, pulled me right in,had a new cover delivered and had me back on the road home at a fair price, nice and friendly people!

I purchased a starter for a subcompact tractor in 2021. That starter wasn't installed on the machine untill 10/9/2023 (wanted to have one on hand becuase the starter was sounding a little weak) and the machine had 1396.5 hours on the hour metter. On 6/13/2024 that starter locked up and the machine had 1495.6 hours on the hour meter. Called D&F about the starter and explain to them about the circumstances and that I have documentation on when the starter was installed. The starter was out warrenty becuase of when the was purchased, ok.
Unfortunately, the individual I spoke to over the phone gave no though to the circumstances I just explained...I then decided to find out who D&F sorced for the starter and to talk to them about the issue/circumstances. The individual I spoke to told me they sorce a majority, if not all there starters from a company in Ohio called J&N Electric. The individuals attitude about contacting J&N electric was "good luck", great. I was able to speak to representative at J&N electric, who was very helpful by the way, and it just so turns out that the starter wasn't even from J&N electric becuase their part #'s always start with a specific couple of letters/numbers. If good give 0 stars, I would.....
GO TO DAKOTA BATTERY for any starter or alternator issues!!!!!! Great people!!!!

These wonderful gentlemen helped my 87 year old mother with a pesky check engine light. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was ok. And explained things in a way that my non-motorized brain could follow. I can’t tell you how much your help meant to us both on a very trying day! Thank you!

Pretty good. I needed an Alternator for one of my trucks and Loney was more than helpful he spent hours trying to find out which alternator do i need and where to find it. I really appreciate the time and effort he made to try to help me. I would definitely go there again to buy my trucks parts.

Wow, this is how people should be treating people. Lon when above and beyond on my repair. I had some electrical wiring issues to a transfer case on a Chevy truck. Mice had got into the heater ducts and made a real mess. He took care of all of it. Best of all it was more than fair pricing and he did more than what he said he would do. Remember people telling stories about a fuel station where they could repair anything. I believe Lon has this in spades. Thanks for being there and taking care of me. Don't let all the cars around there scare you. He is a master at his craft and I will continue to recommend him and bring him my own challenges as they come up. Not to mention he can work on the old stuff as well. Not a lot guys like that left in this world if they can't plug it in they can't fix it. Lon is a true problem solver.

We were traveling from out of state and the window on our pickup would not roll up. Ford dealership was extremely belittling towards us. A friend recommended D & F . Lon dropped everything he was doing to help us. After taking the door panel off and trying everything known to man to remedy this he was able to get the window up and stabilized so we could continue the trip. On top of that he didn't charge us near what it was worth. I recommend them to everyone needing mechanical work. The best part is making a true friend in the process.

Where to begin… my Subaru differential blew out driving from New York to Seattle. Times were grim. Lon is a shining light in a dark world. He worked quickly and efficiently and got my car running like new for not a lot. On top of it all, Lon drove me to the airport when I left my keys there. He is a literal saint. You’d be blessed to do business with this man.

bought an alternator from them and it burned up in a month...took it back to get some warranty and order a new one and they did refund my money but was very rude and mad...The son said if it was up to him he would never have given me my money back and that it was my truck that had the problem and wouldnt even let me order a new one...i will never walk in there again and will tell anybody else not to either...kind of funny that the new one i did buy from thermo king works just fine

Scammers, scammers, scammers, buyer beware!!! Took my vehicle in and they just kept giving the run around, ordering parts and not giving me feedback or updates, had to continuously follow up with bad communication in an apparent attempt to nickel and dime. Pond scum
