It's always a sad time when your loved one needs care, hence the bad reviews people leave. Everyone handles work differently.Working here I have been treated with respect and kindness as well as special gifts and treats to show appreciation for our hard work. It is a nice well run facility that I can call my 2nd home. I would be honored for my parents to live here.

Absolute worst experience working there. They do not care about their staff, so many complaints of others gossiping about one another, they talk about their residences behind their back, I would not take your family member to live there. The sad part is is that I was only working there a month.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I used to work here about 15 years ago. They used to be amazing, great food, great CNAs, MAs, RNAs. When my grandma got Sepsis and needed IV antibiotics, we thought of course Marion, just down the road from grandpa. This was a 6 week nightmare my family had to live 2 years ago. She developed delirium. The staff ignored her sleep deprivation and nutrition. They continued to use a doctor we had removed and told them only to contact her Primary and then would not tell family, not even my grandpa about the visits, but that doctor prescribed medications to make my grandma more "compliant" and is bad for patients already confused. It's the first warning on the label! They took her cell phone away, detached her room phone she paid for, and every time I visited, my grandma said one of the women there scolded her all the time for "telling on her". My grandma became so delirious that they tried to tell us we can't take her home or to the emergency room because she developed "dementia" and if we took her, they will make sure insurance doesn't pay for her stay because we are taking her "against medical advice." I had to call her primary doctor who was also furious with the mistreatment and demanded they release her to us. It took almost 3 months to cure her delirium and there was a good chance she may never have recovered. Then she needed to rebuild her strength from the sepsis and needed rehab. There were a lot of other things with this establishment I will not name due to some serious allegations and I do not have proof other than the word of a very delirious women (who I 100% agree thinks it was happening). Please if you have to bring your loved one anywhere... do not bring them to this place. Anywhere else. I would recommend Bridgewater. They were practically a god send after what we went through. I'm just thankful due to the delirium, my grandmother did not remember any of that and she has passed and is no longer in pain anymore.

The home itself and the staff are great. The director of nursing has absolutely no clue what she's doing or any idea on how to talk with people. Only reason she is in the position she is in is because daddy is on the board of directors. Tried discussing my situation with my mother and she acted like I was bothering her when I was asking questions about her care. She doesn't have any idea what's going on there as I believe she never leaves her office. On a few occasions I have seen staff approach her and she acts same way towards them. I constantly see advertising in the paper of them looking for nurses and aids. I can understand why no one sticks around while she is at the helm. Maybe daddy should wake up and cut the cord from baby daughter and get someone in there that cares about the residents and has knowledge for the job they are hired for.
