A smaller than average groocery store with a decent selection for the size. Prices on some items were higher than usual but with very limited shopping options in the immediate area, we were happy to pay a bit more.I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here but I also wouldn't go out of my way to avoid it. Bonus: Friendly checkout staff.

A-Ok, we got the provisions we needed. All the basics plus a few surprises.Lots of curds! We got a bottle of 19 crimes to wash it all down. Just outside of Deadwood as you head to Lead and the only market around.

Clean and well organized but unbelievably overpriced and price-gouging in full effect! Preying on tourists. Carve out time to go to Spearfish to get your food/drinks. Do not go here unless you want to pad the pockets of the owners and over pay for hundreds of items. Bananas are usually always 40-50 cents/pd. Not here...pushing 90 cents/pd. A couple "sale" items that brought the cost down to realistic levels but overall I'd recommend avoiding this place at all costs. You work too hard for your money!

I've been using this store less and less because the prices at the Lead, SD location are high, sometimes twice as much as the other store I shop. Once in awhile I go in to buy some beer because those prices are reasonable. For privacy concerns I blacked out the back of my drivers license so that stores can't scan my private details into their computers. At this store I had no problem when I used self checkout. The clerk would check my birthday and punch it in. On my last visit I went through the regular check out and the lady told me she couldn't sell me beer because she couldn't scan my card. I explained I don't trust computers and don't want my personal data collected. All she had to do is look at the birth date like the clerk does when I use self check out but instead her response was, "We don't trust people", and with that I will never step foot in this store again. As a man of age and experience, I can't believe the lack of basic human decency I'm faced with nowadays. Common sense would tell you I'm well over 21 years of age. Data collection of any kind is an offensive practice that I don't want anything to do with. I left the store feeling unwelcomed and my privacy not respected. They will never see a dime of my money again.
