We stopped in there to cool off and get something to drink. We were on the motorcycle riding around. Nice people there. Did not get anything to eat but seen some burgers go by. Looked really good.

Best Place to Stay. Full hook up, perfect horse stalls, easy in and out for large rigs, excellent restaurant. Beautiful trails out of camp and even ride to Mt Rushmore from camp! Owners are very helpful! This is site #2, sites 3 & 4 are also excellent with shade the rest are great without shade. All stalls are covered except 10.

Beautiful shop with lot of food options (all meat) and lot of goodies you can buy. Very friendly family! Had cream soda after many years at this location as they carry those in their fridge. Seems like a favourite place for motorcycle riders.

The owners/operators here need to attend classes for hospitality. The camp motto is “Where you may order it your way…but you will get it OUR WAY”. WiFi on the "front porch" of the store is good. Ribs are ok, you get a rack of 12 ribs, 1/2 of a 16 oz styrofoam cup of macaroni and cheese and 1/2 of a 16 oz styrofoam cup of baked beans. We stayed in one of the cabins, it was fine, a campground cabin, nothing to write home about. The list of chores before check-out makes me seriously question how well it was cleaned before I checked in. More than anything the people were just not helpful with much. No info on finding hay for our stay, no info on trails other than what they have on their website. Parking for our 30 ft rig was not great. We trailered for all our rides so I cannot speak for trails out of camp. Horse pens were nice size and have mats, but they dont' all latch good. Vacation was great but i wouldn't stay there again.

Nice little shop on the way to Custer State Park. Pricey as to be expected for the location. Worth it. Girl at the counter was really friendly. Helped us with some directions as well.

I don’t own horse but I stayed here for 4 nights. Its a great location. Close to everything. The services were good and the site was nice. It was super quiet. The owners were super friendly and if you have a site they let u run a tab which is awesome for the store. It would be nicer if the wifi reached the campsites but it wasn’t the end of the world to be disconnected.

We stopped by to check out their gift shop. Lots of quality stuff. It also serves food and drink. There were lots of people gathered on the porch enjoying each other’s company.

Had a great stay. Loved the shower house and laundry facilities. I think it was Josh who came right up to me and told me to dump my wheel barrel in the bobcat, and then he even took that for me. Great service. Beautiful place.

Great camp owners, Josh is also a great farrier. Roomy sites with hookups and large stalls. Nice camp store that serves a great breakfast sandwich & good ribs.

Elk Haven is a great place to stay with your horse. Covered pens with rubber mats for your horse and full hooks ups. We used pine pellets for bedding which worked great and kept the mats from being too slippery. Ride from camp to Mt Rushmore and Black Elk Peak and many, many more miles of trails. Thursday night ribs are not to be missed! Thanks Josh and Jackie for another wonderful stay! Can't wait to get back again!

The lady that owns elk haven is absolutely wonderful!! We were caught in a storm while riding our harleys , along with 20 others, this amazing lady stayed open 3 hours late, fed us, gave us towels to dry off and was overall an amazing hostess!!! Would absolutely recommend finding this gem ! We will be swinging through every year now while enjoying the sturgis rally!
