“Comfortable no-frills rooms in a section of highway where there aren't a lot of other options. They're right off the highway, so we picked them when we decided we wanted to stop driving for the night. The beds where comfortable, the people working were friendly and helpful, and we had a comfortable night before we moved on.Grandpa Joe himself and ... Grandma Joe? she gave me her name but it's been six months and I'm sorry to say I can't remember it -- anyway, they really went above and beyond on service in the morning when we were getting ready to check out We discovered that morning that the Honda dealership had done a poor job of reattaching the plastic shield that covers the engine from beneath when they'd given us an oil change a few days before we left the Twin Cities, and that it was dragging along the road.Of course, there's no open mechanics or tow trucks nearby that are open on the weekends, so we jacked up our little subcompact car and crawled underneath to try to detach it ourselves. Grandpa Joe helped with the whole operation and finally crawled underneath the car himself to unscrew the last bolt that we couldn't find. That was definitely the most helpful any hotel proprietor has ever been for us.Good people, super-helpful service, comfortable rooms, good location, inexpensive -- we'll be staying here again next time we drive through.”
