My mother was in Rehab there! Staff was really nice to her, both therapy and nursing. She gained a lot of strength during her stay. She very much enjoyed her stay!

Would not recommend for even my worst enemy or their family. A resident was only in their care for a couple weeks and ended with a hospital stay due to lack of care from multiple falls and negligence. Resident suffered both minor and severe falls while in their care and in each incident staff neglected to care for scraps, bruising, or swelling. Even basic hygiene was not kept such as washing of hair and teeth brushing daily. Many incidents could have been prevented and resident wouldn't have had such a close call.

The staff here are all Very friendly, and I am very comfortable here as the staff genuinely care about people, and it is not just a job to them! The Therapy Department is great. Only small complaints would be the food is Novery good, and some of the equipment is very old, and outdated, and should be replaced. But overall I have really enjoyed my stay here, and am doing very well!The Techs Haley, Helen, Stephanie, are great I always no I am going to be well taken care of when they are here. My Nurses Rita, Tina, Bridgette, night nurse Danica, PT Kelly, and Blake, and OT Diane are Great! I know I am missing someone, but all of them have been very good to me ??

We recently had my mom at the rehabilitation side at Palisade Healthcare Nursing Home. I was hesitant having read reviews. I don't agree with the poor reviews. I found all of the staff very professional and hard working. From the director, Lourdes to the director of nursing, Megan, to Paige and Brittney the Social Workers, to excellent CNAS like Marin, Tina, Taylor and Mosama, to Marcella (the best housekeeping), to nurses, J.C., Stephanie and many more whose names I didn't learn or remember. Whenever we had a concern, we noticed immediate changes once we talked with management. This is a sign of good leadership. The food is excellent, warm and home-cooked taste by Mike and others; the facility though old yes, is spotless. The rehab PT Kelly and OT Dianne were the best. We only moved mom to be closer to us as we live in Sioux Falls.

Admin doesnt do anything, and is miserable, and her husband maintenance man is never there and does less than nothing and gets paid for it! What a joke.

People complain about this place but you all should remember who took care of your loved one when you NEVER did. You all should remember who put you through C.N.A class, or made you a med aide, or manager when no one else believed in you. The management here does everything-they do management work, aide work, floor work, kitchen work. They get up from their desks and help on the floor when they are asked or when they are not asked. Most of the staff here has been here for years and they have a purpose. So you can talk bad about this place but remember you do not take care of your own loved one, you no longer work there because you were no following the rules and trying to retaliate is for uneducated, simple minded people. Thank you Palisade for doing what most people wouldn't and for working hard everyday!!! IT has become a better place and they are striving to continue to be better. No nursing home or hospital is a perfect place to work not even Burger King.

My hats off to the staff and Administrator. They are doing a FANTASTIC JOB. Its NOT an easy task to care for our family members with disabilities and illnesses and yet they make it look so easy with their compassion!!! Thank you Palisade In Garrettson South Dakota, YOU ALL ROCK!!!!!P.s. let the nay-sayers TRY and care for their family members and see how that goes!!!

Great nursing staff. Love the excellent care they give their patients especially during this pandemic. They have been thru it with covid & caring for covid patients. So grateful there is an excellent nursing home for our elderly. Thank you so much for all you do.

Do NOT take your loved one here. Their director was so rude and condescending and our family member was not given the care needed. 2 medical issues took place under their care and they were quick to place the blame elsewhere.3 months of hellWhat a terrible experience.
