This is the second year my family and I have used Tyler at the Flandreau Meat Locker. Tyler makes the process so easy even if your a first timer.We contacted Tyler in early June and asked him to put us on his schedule for picking up a full beef the last week of July. Tyler contacted the producer (Glenn Burggraff) and set up the delivery date for us. Butchering was done and hanging time was right to our request. Shout out to Burggraff farms for an amazing quality of farm raised beef.We sent Tyler a text with a list of everything we wanted and he replied back with a few other questions to complete our order. The complete process was easy and done with the best customer service experience. Tyler was prompt and kept right on schedule to the day. We had given him a pick up date when we first spoke and picked our completed order exactly on the date we had given him.If your looking for great customer service combined with an amazing quality of beef processing reach out the Flandreau Meat Locker.Call or text Tyler and get a date set up. They did not give me the cuts of meat that I requested. and they gave me meat that my family never uses. A good processor will listen to what the customer wants and gives them what they want. asked for steaks and only got 4 packs of steaks. with none of them being t-bones. did not want roasts and got them asked foe a whole packer brisket and I'm guessing it was either taken for them to sell or they ground it up. not satisfied at all.

Great butcher! I brought them a hog and they delivered it the day I needed it. The bacon was perfect and the chops were cut thick just to my specs. Very clean operation and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

Great experience! Had 5 animals processed for 15 people, everything was cut up as requested, very neatly packed and organized and even delivered back to me over 100 miles away. Definitely recommend this hard working young man that is trying to build his business.

I stopped there yesterday and pick up a case of ribs. I have not had any processing done there but they were friendly and talking with them it sounds like they had learned from some pervious mistakes they have made. I also tried there lunch and have to say I really enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork! I will be stopping out in the near future to try some of there other products they sell.

This is the worst service imaginable to say the least. Never would answer phone calls or return them. I had 2 hogs done there after about 2 weeks daily sometimes twice trying to get a hold of him to tell him the cuts I wanted he did answer. 1 month goes bye and I had to call again many times to find out if it was ready. Long story short he smoked everything but to 2 small roasts and the chops. Everything that was smoked has went to the dog and it even the dog turned up its nose. The only thing that was really OK is the sausage other than the blue and green die looking pieces that we sort through and discard. The meat has a very bad smell to it. I really don't know how this place stays in business. I will never take anything their again and will not refer anyone either. I can't even give a STAR rating it was so poor. Although I have too get this to post.

Horrible business practices at this meat locker. 8 months to get a hog. Were told it was ready in July but our meats were packaged 2/08/2021?We also NEVER received our 2 racks of ribs. Not to mention the lack of communication and commen decency. The owner lacks the skills required to run a good business with good customer service. My husband has been blocked after sending the owner pictures of our meats with labels spanning across 10 days. Finally received our Meat after 8 months of very little communication with the owner, Only to not receive our full order. Sent numerous messages yesterday and some today waiting for an answer back about our missing racks of ribs.

Very slow 6+ months kept losing contact with me and even forgot who I was mid engagement. Finally got it and the ribs are missing out of the box. First time trying this and probably won't ever be trying it again after this transaction.

So I live an hour and 45 minutes away (one way) from Flandreau. A friends uncle was having a steer butchered and we decided to take a quarter of the meat. According to my friends uncle the meat locker was supposed to call us when the meat was done. They never did! This place is horrible to work with! They never communicate with you and then they charge you extra fees! I got a quote for the guy on Monday at $250 and he game me some d*** a** excuse that my friends uncle should have called us and told us it was done. So that meat has been sitting there for 3 months unbeknownst to us until the call on Monday! Drive 1 hour 45 minutes one way to pickup the meat on Friday and was charged an extra $200 for a locker rental. Tried calling the guy and he has not refused to answer my calls or text messages! Horrible is too kind of a word to describe this place This Tyler guys is so shady and unethical! Do not give him your business unless you want to be taken advantage of!

I had 1/2 a beef done. They texted me and asked how I wanted it processed. I responded. They told me it would be done in two weeks. They gave the product time to hang and between the quality of meat, and quality of cuts I am very happy. I am only a Chef, so take the review for what it is worth.
