“Was greeted by a gentleman employee and guided on a place to park outside. Went inside looking for where to order pizza and the same guy gave us directions. Went downstairs and Karen took our order and guess what? Our personal navigation assistant was also the cook! And he makes a fine supreme pizza. I’d come here again, good people, great service and feels like home!

Food & drinks: Great pizza, great service. Friendly people.”

“Stayed at the Bullock in September 2024. Perfect location in downtown Deadwood. The staff was amazing. They were all so pleasant and helpful. You could tell they really cared about making your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The casino is small, but still fun. We heard about the haunting and ghost vibes, but unfortunately did not experience anything like that. Not saying it isn't true, but I didn't get the feeling I was being watched, or smell the smells. Had a blast though! Rooms are clean, but the building is over a hundred years old so they aren't going to be perfect. The best thing is the history of the building and the town itself. Had a lot of fun.”

“This place was wonderful, very comfortable, very friendly, very clean. Connie was amazing, she was very knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable while we were there. I definitely will be booking another room here the next time I'm lucky enough to be back in ”

“I truly enjoyed my stay at the Martin & Mason Hotel. The owners were super nice and accommodating, the location is great to explore the Deadwood Downtown, and the room was perfect - historic, quaint, charming, yet it contained all of today's amenities, including a super comfy bed. Will definitely try to stay here next time I visit the Black Hills.”

“I loved this place. Just a warning that water is scalding hot and could easily burn and don't plan on the pull out couch for a bed. It was terrible. It was very quiet except for street noise in the morning. We will definitely stay here again.Walkability: Very easy walk to main street and breakfast right across the street”

“One of my favorite places to toss a few extra bucks into the slots! The Players Club has promos galore, though I'm still waiting for my hot seat win (fingers crossed! ?). The C-Store might make my wallet cry a bit, but Deb is such a gem that I keep coming back! Only downside? It's a bit like a sardine can on weekends, but hey, so is the rest of Deadwood!”

“First Gold Casino is adjacent to the Travelodge in Deadwood and runs some promotions in the Travelodge which we were privileged to enjoy. These were especially for First Gold's 34th anniversary and we appreciated all the fun.”

“Our stay here was actually really enjoyable. They have a great location to see the main attractions here at deadwood. One thing I did not like right away was they only have about 15 parking spots here for everyone so if you get a room here get here early.

Our room was typical of a tourist town with a hotel. You get all the amenities you would expect and these rooms are very clean and in nice condition which is a good surprise. Oh, their beds are really comfortable and the pillows are awesome I slept like a baby here.

They serve great food here, their breakfast menu is normal and their food is delicious. They have a steakhouse here we never tried, but overall I had a great experience I would definitely return.

Nearby activities: They are really close to the main strip and all of the main attractions!

Walkability: They are on the main strip so you don’t have to cross a lot of streets to get to where you need from here”

“Our first visit to Deadwood and we were very impressed with this property. It’s very nice, newer and clean. It’s in the heart of Deadwood. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend.”

“Awesome location being right dead center of the main street.

Rooms: Smaller rooms but well kept and had everything we needed.

Nearby activities: Food, gambling, bars, live music, museums, tours.”

“Must realize that this hotel is above the Cadillac jacks casino. You have to go up to the second floor to get to the reception. But then again, in this town, probably every hotel has a casino on the first floor. This hotel is a very easy walk to downtown, the main street, and there’s a walking path across the street and a little river. There are beautiful, brown cliffs of this hotel. The room was nice and clean, the breakfast good, the coffee excellent. You must see the city!”

“I would say the only downside to the hotel is that I would love to see them restore the historic tile floor. The carpet that is over it is a gorgeous match but getting to see the tile work in the historic pictures made me wish I could see it myself.
The staff was amazing and super helpful too. The door man was the sweetest hotel staff personnel I've ever met.
I loved the historic feel of the rooms but it also didn't feel like they left out any modern comforts most might expect from a hotel. It was a great mixture of preserving the history and adding modern comforts.

Rooms: The room we stayed in was labeled as 2 beds but it was a full and single so you may want to check on that. They are historic rooms though so the size is not surprising. Id just recommend checking with the desk before planning (I did reserve mine through AAA though so thats most likely my mistake)

Nearby activities: Its right on main street across from outlaw square park. Historic Saloon 10, a cool soda bar, unique food places.

Walkability: Very comfortable walking distance from historic sites and businesses. Everything you'd want to visit is no further than a 10-15 walk. The lack of cars in the roads too made things easier to walk around.

Noteworthy details: Historic and gorgeous architecture.”
