I recently moved to the Old Mill and LOVE THIS FAMILY DOLLAR!!! This location is super close to downtown where things get pricey, so it's nice to have as an option. Also, the employees are the nicest people ever. Thank you for being here! Favorite Family Dollar ever. Update: Same in 2022!

Every-time I come over here it’s a reason they closed: every. Single. Time. It’s 5:45PM and they supposed to be open till 9. Ridiculous

Buyers BEWARE of this location!! I don’t frequent this location often but I have stopped by 3 times over the past month and every single time I have been overcharged on at least one item and two items the last time. They apparently don’t change the price tags/signs on numerous items. The sign will clearly state the price but when you go to pay for the items they are often over one to two dollars more than the sign/ tag states. Then the staff acts like “your” inconveniencing them or that your at fault for bringing up the issue. I guess they enjoy being overcharged when they themselves shop at stores,.. especially for items that they would have passed up on if they realized that the price displayed was from a sale that they had over 3 months ago!!

I've grown to accept clutter and unorganization at dollar stores, however this location is one of the cleanest Family Dollar in Columbia. The Manager and staff are friendly and helpful. I rarely visit other dollar stores since discovering this gem.

I rarely write reviews and meant to do this over a week ago, but I cannot thank Shamekka and the other staff at Family Dollar in West Columbia enough. One of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had (thanks to Shamekka and the deals!), which was much appreciated in general, but especially during these crazy times. They went above and beyond. ?

I read a couple of reviews about this location and they are so on point. They were not interested in customers at all. Talking to each other about store business and not even greetings customers. On their cell phone and complaining about other things. Horrible service.

I've been to a few family Dollar stores in my time but this place ranks as the all time lowest. Everyone seems to be distracted by their phones or just chatting amongst themselves. If there was training involved in working here, everyone would need to go. Going there just puts me in a miserable state of mind. Customer service goes a long way. They just don't know that or do I think they care.

melissa the manager was on the phone with a personal call the whole time and is disrespectful to her customers. I'm 20 years old and shop here all the time she has ID me numerous times even tho she knows who i am but i was respectful to her until i was called disrespectful she told me to not have such an attitude and i said i don't care for what she has to to say so as i'm walking out she said "godamn kids need to learn f****** respect" even tho i'm usually respectful i told her f*** u b**** and encourage customer to not shop here due to the lack of respect for customers and customer service
