I’m a frequent Avis costumer.February 29 afternoon, I stopped by after a long trip….2 older women were there!..I asked them gently: what we have available ?One of them didn’t even bother to look while the other one responded we are out … only high prices!.I smiled and asked how high? She said $200 a day kinda prices. She judged me coz of my clothes, I wasn’t dressed up good enough for her. I was sent by my company to fix one of our semi trucks in the area.So I took an uber for $206+ Tip. And I was so surprisingly disappointed how dumb some people are.Avis should do some homework and educate her employees.O!… don’t reply to my review and apologize to me.

You close at 11… flights come in later than that. You are aware, correct? Doesn’t seem like the best business model. I try to be loyal, which my presidential status reflects, but I have to rethink this decision. All the girl on the phone kept saying was “if we closed, you can’t rent a car”. Thank you very little ??

Avis Uber driver program is a scam. I reserved a car for the program and was told I had a car reserved.. I paid 130$ from Columbia sc to Pineville NC only to be told they didn't have a car for me... don't do it drivers you will be very disappointed

Got a credit because they screwed up my rental in another state and when I went to go pick up the car no one told me I was supposed to use a credit card. This place will heavily penalize you for not using a credit card including doing a random credit check on you completely absurd business practices will never use this company for anything ever again would recommend sticking with places like Enterprise.

Was literally stranded. Ms Pat saved me and was so helpful after the Hertz employees offered ZERO help, only “we have no car for you.” She’s a gem.

My initial car had problems with the gas gauge. The local agent had me bring it back in and they promptly swapped it out to get me back on the road. Very nice and professional of them. ?

It was a little on the expensive side but.. I had a reservation with hertz but my license had bent and the agent was not able to swipe because of the way their system is set up and said she couldn’t do anything for me, to try another company , went to enterprise and the agent wouldn’t help me because he said I had to do it online. I was almost in tears now , I live thousands of miles away and I really need a car. I walked over to Avis and this wonderful lady helped me out with no problem at all.there should be more people like her.❤️

This by far has been the best service I have yet to receive at Avis. I needed a rental at the very last minute and Mrs. Pat was extremely patient, friendly, beyond helpful. I originally had a reservation at Thrifty Rental in the airport but the Supervisor with them explained that if my Drivers License doesn’t scan in the system, I cannot rent the vehicle. Just my luck it didn’t scan so they referred me to Avis. I am very glad they did. I received a deal that was so much better than the rental reserved with Thrifty. Thank you Mrs. Pat!!!

A bit pricey but good service. My interactions at Avis are always positive. At this CAE airport location everything was simple and easy to find. All car rental places are just outside the airport separated by a crosswalk. Very convenient.

It’s really frustrating how I have so many questions because this is my first time renting a car and I’ve called over 5 times to talk to someone over the counter and no one has answered. I understand that they might be busy with other customers, but this is my second day trying to reach out to someone over there and for no one to be available at any time makes it so weird. I don’t even know if I should cancel my reservation because at this point, they haven’t given me a reason to trust them.

If I could give the Columbia Metro Airport location of Avis 0 stars, I would. Long story but here goes. I’d reserved a one way rental for a friend and I to drive back to Louisiana on 3/14/22 under my wife’s credit card as I was driving a moving van from Louisiana to SC. Before I was able to get the truck loaded, I was hospitalized and we called and changed the reservation to my friends name. At the time we called, 7am CST, which was 8am in SC, we asked if we could pay for the rental with the credit card on file and we were told no by the manager we later learned was named Tami and she said the card used needed to match the reservation as well as his drivers license. No problem, or so we thought. My friend came by to pick up the rental at roughly 11:20am EST and was on his way in roughly two minutes as documented by airport metro PD surveillance time stamped photos of my friend entering and leaving the Avis counter. He was not asked to present a credit card and we thought all was well. Fast forward to the next morning, 3/15, when we return the car in Louisiana, at 9:40am CST, which would have been within the 24 hour window, we found that we’d been charged for an extra day and that the clock started ticking when my wife hung up the phone at 8:11/7:11am central on the previous day. When we tried to call to resolve the matter, the manager, Tami was rude and extremely unprofessional, screamed and hung up on my wife. The city manager, Henry, has yet to return numerous calls. I would definitely recommend renting elsewhere. Since our concern has gone unanswered, we have begun the process of disputing the additional days charge with our credit card company and are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If the Better Business Bureau is unable to assist, we will file a fraudulent transaction complaint with the Airport Police.

Rude and unprofessional. I had asked the counter attendant if she could waive the one-way fee since one of my parents was dying in the hospital at the time (they had 0 cars available otherwise), and she wouldn't even let me finish before saying no and dismissing me away. I wasn't looking for any sympathy; a simple response without the attitude would have sufficed. Learn to be a decent human being or get a different job.

I reserved an SUV at airport avis and when I went to pick up the rental I was told that my reserved car had been given to someone else even though we had a hold on the car and they even had the keys with our name taped to them. The car was still on the lot and they still refused to rent the vehicle to us. I will NEVER use these crooks again and every chance I get to tell someone of our experience I will. Complete liars and Crooked business with rude and lying employees. I will? them every chance I get.

I didnt even want to give this 1 star! How do you make a reservation and then it takes over 30 minutes to get your vehicle!!!! I am still waiting!!!! NEVER EVER WILL RENT HERE AGAIN!!!!! Im still waiting!!!!!
