While passing through Walterboro my car had a panel start dragging underneath. This was the closest shop and I stopped to ask if they could look at it to take it off or let me use a screw driver to do it myself. The person there wasn’t rude but certainly wasn’t helpful.

I had the unfortunate situation of breaking down on I95 southbound. Air conditioning compressor seized up, serpentine belt torn to shreds. Other pulleys destroyed also. Googled repair shops near me and came upon Lug Nuts. Billy was a Godsend! Extremely knowledgeable and skillful! More than that, he explained in detail every detail of what the repairs were needed! Got the parts and repairs in record time! A truly great person! May God continue to bless you Billy!!!!Services: Air conditioning

The alternator on my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport quite on I-95. I was towed in to Lugnutt's around 10 a.m. He found an alternator in Charleston and had it delivered. I was back on the road around 1 p.m. The man's a miracle worker as far as I'm concerned...Service: Engine repair

After reading their rave reviews, I was relieved to have found Billy at Lugnutt’s.He is extremely knowledgeable, honest, ethical, and kind. I went there while visiting from LA to obtain a second opinion for work that the dealer said was necessary for my dad’s Mazda Miata. They quoted repairs that totaled $3000. Billy checked out the car himself and quickly assessed that the Miata only needed brakes and an alignment and it cost a fraction of what I had anticipated on paying. Billy was fast, ethical, and courteous. He took the time to explain in great detail what repairs were needed and how we should approach them. I hope you don’t have car trouble. But if you do, I hope you have the good fortune of breaking down near enough to Lugutt’s Auto Services for Billy to help you.I called him in desperation as my family pulled over at a gas station by I-95 with a flashing check engine light and a jittery engine. He talked me through what was probably happening and gave enough information for me to decide what I needed to do. He was straightforward about what he could do and the fact that it might not be fixable in the hour before he closed, but he offered to get us to a hotel if necessary. The necessary parts were in stock, though, so he stayed a bit late to install them. We went from desperate and fearing a missed vacation to on the road in just over 2 hours. As far as we can tell, he is very competent and honest. We recommend him highly.
