Just a short drive through the beautiful low country from Charelston brings you to this picturesque working tea farm. There is a complimentary tour through the processing facilty which takes about 15 minutes. The 45 minute trolley tour (fee required) through the farm should not be missed. The driver shares the intersting history of the farm as well as information about tea production that gives new appreciation to popping a teabag into a cup of boiling water.

My mother and I took the trolley tour and really enjoyed it. I know I learned a lot! The grounds are beautiful and the tea tastes great. In the cute little gift shop they have hot tea with all the trimmings and they also have iced tea, both sweet and unsweet. The factory tour is self guided and very interesting. I highly recommend a visit to the Charleston Tea Garden.

We arrived at 3:15 having bought tickets in advance for the last ride of the day at 3:30 and had it all to ourselves! Steve was so knowledgeable and charismatic, he made the trip so fun. We didn’t get a chance to see the factory but enjoyed the tea samples and gift shop. Loved the tea trivia, too! So blessed to call this garden a piece of home!

We went on the trolly tour and enjoyed it immensely. My 3 1/2 year old grandson loved it. We learned so much. The tour leader had a great personality and did a great job. The ability to see the tea being processed was a bonus. The store had fun gift items. Tea tasting was fun too. I highly recommend this to anyone of any age. I had a bout on my foot from an injury and was able to safely navigate there. Wonderful memories were made.

This was an unexpected delight to tour. We didn’t expect to enjoy it this much when you go in, you can walk through behind the back and tour how the tea is harvested and processed. Then over on the side, you can sample all varieties of hot and iced tea. They were all yummy. We got tickets to do the trolley tour and our tour guide was amazing. We got to go to the greenhouse and learned some history behind the plantation. The gift shop also had lots of beautiful things.

This was THE best place! We took our 4 grandkids and daughter to the garden and learned SO much about tea that we didn't know! Watching them actually make the tea was fascinating and trying out the different types of tea was so much fun for the kids! This is a beautiful place and really makes you appreciate the pains that the owners have gone to, to ensure the quality of their product as well as maintaining the integrity of the land and environment! We bought our trolley tickets in advance online, got there when they opened and enjoyed a truly pleasant morning at the Tea Garden! The gentleman driving the trolley was so positive, funny and engaging that he created a lovely experience for all of us!

A visit to the Charleston Tea Garden is a must!! Our trolley tour guide, Steve, was incredible!!! He was such a delight—we learned so much and had a few laughs!! We were able to witness the tea production process and enjoyed some of the tea samples provided at no additional charge. It was tea-riffic!!!

A lovely experience full of information, fun and free tea = what more could you ask for?
The store was much larger than expected with all sorts of fun tea related goodies, foods, teas and all kinds of other types of fun souvenirs. They had all of their hot and iced teas available for free samples, as much as you would want.
We did the indoor free tour, which was very informative about how the different teas were grown, picked and prepared. It was interesting to note all teas come from one kind of tea. It was easily laid out and took a mere 15 minutes.
We paid to do the 45 minute trolley tour and our tour guide was very funny and informative. It was neat to be driven around the grounds and see the tea and learn more history about the gardens as well as learn more knowledge about tea growing.
Last stop was our shopping experience in the gift shop. I was amazed that the “sweet” teas were so sweet on their own without any added sugar. I bought several bags of loose leaf tea.
I would highly recommend this experience. Even my husband enjoyed himself and he thought he would not!
