There's something special about walking up and down rows and rows of strawberries with your children on a warm afternoon, plucking fresh plump strawberries that have been warmed all day by the sun. Occasionally, one misses the bucket and ends up in a mouth, but that's okay because it's all part of the experience. Ambrose Family Farm has tons of acreage that spreads out all over the place, full of fresh vegetables and fruits. Blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries were all ready to be picked. Strawberries were at the end of their growing season, and blueberries were just beginning, and we ended up with buckets of each. A great way to spend some time with the kids, away from technology. They told me over and over how much fun they had. Maybe we'll do this again next weekend!
