“We thought this place was fantastic. As other reviews mention, don’t expect any “service”. You let yourself in (ha, ha - pun) and out. And we had no issues with either. The common rooms are nicely done, there is a full kitchen along with a sizable dining table and a separate living/tv room. We were the only ones there this trip, but I think it would be pretty pleasant to share with others. There were various snacks and breakfast items. My private room was very nice/ pretty large and bright. King sized bed was comfortable. The bathroom was tight but certainly functional. The pool is small but it was clean and a nice bonus. The front porch had several rockers and a daybed for hanging in the evening. Most important, the place just had a good feel to it. I dug it. I felt relaxed and comfortable. And that’s not always easy to find.Goodbye Greenville! From now on, Swamp Rabbit Inn will be at the top of our list when we visit Furman .”

“✨A great place to stay near Greenville, a charming spot called Travelers Rest, SC. ??✨

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to welcome me and make my stay comfortable. I was checked in by the very nice and pleasant lady, Etha. A slight glitch with my check-in and Shiv, supervising manager stepped up to assist, as Etha was a new member of the team and still training.

After learning that I was looking to hike the area mountains and enjoy exploring the area around Greenville SC, he offers suggestions for hiking, dining and sites in the area that shouldn't be missed. He shared some of his favorite trails and hikes. I mentioned biking and he told me about the expansive swamp rabbit ? trail that connects over 12 miles from TR into GVL. Suggestions for bike ? rental. All this personal attention to a weary traveler was welcomed and helpful.

My room ?️was clean, well appointed, comfortable and a great value in the BW brand. The breakfast ? ??offered daily variety of hot items and continental breakfast ? staples. A nice pool area and a daily happy hour service from 5-7 offering guests beer ?or wine ?.

The entire staff was so friendly and helpful and very hard working. Everyone from the front desk team to the housekeeping, laundry and kitchen staff always smiles and pleasant.

All this added up to a wonderful stay that was so good that I extended my stay several more days.

I recommend the property, the wonderful staff and the well appointed and comfortable rooms at a great location.?

Rooms: Clean, well appointed, fresh and comfortable.

Nearby activities: Close to mountains, parks, trails, restaurants, bike rental and easy drive to Greenville SC.

Safety: Very safe, well lit parking lot and property and heavy security camera coverage. A safe location and town.”

“We stayed overnight after seeing Stevie Nick's in concert and really enjoyed our room, the view, and the welcoming cocktail at check in. Hotel is about a year old and being kept up well. Our room waa perfectly maintained with earthy greens that really complimented the surroundings of the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor with a stellar view of the falls as you can see from the pic. Nancy at the desk when we were checking out really took great care of us, stored our luggage until we had breakfast, and ensure our portfolio was correct as we did the b&b package. Coffee in the lobby was very good quality and we enjoyed sipping it while viewing the falls.”

“I have not stayed here in years and had forgotten how much I love the location, rooms and service. The service was spectacular. One person, Teagan, took care of the issues (that was of my making). I actually prefer this place to The Grand Bohemian in Greenville (which is 3x more expensive). SUPERB!!!!!DavidRooms: Plenty big enough with character.Nearby activities: Great bookstore next door and coffee within walking distance (Methodical Coffee).Walkability: Right in downtown.”

“Took a one night trip to Greenville with my family. I must say this stay was worth it. A super short car ride to downtown Greenville where there a super cute restaurants and shops, and a beautiful park. The room had 2 beds and a separate living room with a pullout couch. You get 2 free drinks per person at bar and free breakfast. The food was good. Front desk staff are super friendly. A little dust in vents in room but for the price, it was worth it and we would stay again.”

“Very quiet. Excellent location to the heart of downtown. Excellent bar. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms: Our room was nearly silent; a rare thing in hotels these days.

Walkability: Within walking distance to some of the best places downtown.

Food & drinks: The bar is well staffed and able to make even the most obscure of vintage cocktails.”

“Wow! My husband and I have stayed here many times and have always loved this location. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Barbara. If you have the chance to meet Barbra you will you be met with the most kind, friendly, and always helpful person you have ever met. We’ve always loved staying but Barbara made our stay much more enjoyable with her smile we got to see everyday. The rooms are have always been very clean and the location is also amazing. We will never stay anywhere else!”

“This is consistent with the excellent quality of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels, with a breakfast superior to most other hotels in this category. There is a choice between Valet Parking for $22 a night or Garage parking across the street for $10. The location is an easy walk to most places in downtown Greenville. Check-in-out was polite and straightforward. My only concern is that all rooms in this hotel are Pet-friendly, and I did find a live tick on the desk. There should be designated animal rooms for people who travel with pets. I would go out of my way to book a hotel without a pet-friendly policy to every room.”

With a fire pit and grills that are free to use. Also had free laundry for all guest.Rooms: Very nice rooms. Could see myself working from home in one. The desk was very spacious and comfortable.”

“Great ambience and location. The restaurant was very enjoyable, and food was good. Enjoyed the downtime vibe. Room was nice, but a little pricey. Housekeeping did not clean room the first day; front desk said they would get it the next day...we were leaving the next day. They did send up some towels, etc. Overall a good experience.Rooms: I felt room was pricey, but being able to walk downtown and shop was nice. Felt very safe. Lots of dining choices”

“Rooms are good size but the layout is strange. The TV faces in a adjustable angle but it's hard to see from the couch, but the couch isn't the most comfortable anyway. The beds are soft and inviting though! And so far the staff has been kind and helpful.Rooms: Good size rooms but Stanger layout. Confy beds and pillows. The lighting is good and nice hige walk-in shower.Safety: The area is nice and the front desk did ask for my ID one evening when I forgot my key which was comforting!”

“Brooklyn, Robyn, Chris, and others, teamed together to make our stay special and significant. I was in a local Greenville SC hospital to have emergency thoracic surgery. My wife and son flew in to be with me. The Crown Plaza team got them shuttled in from the airport, to and from the hospital for a week, advised them of local attractions, eateries, and the downtown area. They were effortlessly over the top with hospitality, making every encounter special the entire time. Bravo! Great job!The CooksSafety: Environment around hotel feels very safe.Food & drinks: Ruth's Chris on site!Strossner's across the street!”

“Excellent clean room, friendly staff, my room had a slightly dirty window and a crumpled curtain. The main problem is The Irish Pub, which with its bass made it difficult to sleep until two in the morning, I recommend taking a room with windows on the opposite side.”

“I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights! Room was clean and Bria at the front desk was welcoming and helpful with all of my questions. The best part of my stay was the hospitality of the bar staff and the manager Kelsey--The main reason for the 5 star review. She went out of her way to accommodate my family. My son has a gluten allergy and she personally made his food and made sure it was not cross-contaminated. She even came back out to ask how our food was. We felt welcome and appreciated in the bar area.If you get a chance to stay here, please do and make sure you meet Kelsey. She will make your stay just that much more special. Thank you to the great staff!”

“The room was clean and all, it just looks like at very least you could have taller height toilets, not standard. My wife and I are in our 70's, but we don't usually get handicapped room. The toilets are for kids and short people.”

“After reading reviews, I knew this could be a great or horrible decision. As it turned out, it was fantastic. First, I saw a couple in the parking lot that were checking out and asked what they thought about their stay, and his reply was "excellent!" With such a good sign, I was hopeful this would be great. And it was. While it's a bit unnerving that you have to ring the bell for someone to let you in to the lobby, the man who checked us in was quite polite and friendly. The outside of the building looks like they are updating in stages, however, the room itself was perfect. Clean, no stains, smelled fresh. The bathroom had been modernized and had a long counter with good lighting and a big mirror, and had a barn door closure. Walk-in shower with spray options. The water was very hot with good pressure. All the normal amenities were there including hair dryer, Keureg-style coffee maker and pods, iron, microwave, fridge, tv, alarm clock. The bed was memory foam and quite comfortable. The room opened to the outside, so you could hear traffic, but all you had to do was turn the AC to continuous fan if you wanted to muffle outdoor sounds. You could also hear guests in the next room if they spoke loudly, but I've had that happen in expensive hotels too. The area felt safe, and I never felt any kind of sketchiness in the room or the outside sitting area. The morning breakfast fare was typically continental, but it also had a hot option (scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy) that you don't often see. The coffee was very hot, and tasty. The location was great, just a few miles from downtown Greenville. And, of course, the rate was incredible. As a reasonably priced stay option, UBH met and exceeded my expectations so I'm happy to give it 5 stars all around. I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend to others.”
