$100 a month for 1 gb internet. Have never even seen half of those speeds (connected via Ethernet). Customer service is terrible, they have a monopoly so they’ll charge whatever they want and you either pay it or go without internet. If anyone else in the house starts playing a single YouTube video, any game you’re playing will start to lag horrendously. Like the other reviews say, choose anyone but comporium If given the opportunity.

I work from home. I have agoraphobia. I rely on Comprium. Comporium has a monopoly in my area so I can’t even choose to use another provider. Their internet is so unreliable. I have to call at least twice a month with an issue. If it’s after hours there is no prompt “we are closed” you will just sit on hold. You would think since internet is supposed to be 24/7/365 someone would be available. Price is unreasonable but literally cannot get internet from anyone else because of their monopoly where I live.

This office location is good to pay bills and inquire about you plan or bill. But I have a hard time with comporium as a whole - because of their monopoly on the area their prices are way to high compared to spectrum just across in Charlotte. Waiting for another service provider like AT&T or Verizon who can provide decent internet then I can build all my services off of that. Also even though comporium boast fast internet its not stable your speed is constantly going up and down.

I closed my account on Dec 18th. They told me I had an outstanding balance so I paid it. Comporium continued to bill be after my account was closed. Plus while my bill went up over the years of service, I ended up using a T mobile tower for 30 bucks less a month. Don’t use comporium. There are better options.

I'm sharing this review from Tega Cay, South Carolina, to alert everyone to steer clear of Comprioum as their service provider. If you have the opportunity to choose another provider, do so without hesitation. In many areas, Comprioum operates as a monopoly, which allows them to exploit their customers with exorbitant charges and unfair practices.When I initially signed up for internet service, they quoted me $50 per month, only to hike the price to $80 starting the very next month without any prior notice. It's unacceptable! Recently, they abruptly disconnected my service without warning and now demand $35 just to restore it, a fee that makes no sense whatsoever.To add insult to injury, if you need to make a payment over the phone with a customer service agent, they charge an additional $5. It's clear they're taking advantage of their customers. Unfortunately, in areas like mine where there are no other options, we're stuck with Comprioum's appalling service.Save yourself the headache and avoid this company for your internet needs at all costs.

The 1 star reviews are odd. I had really great, fast Internet speeds with Comporium with maybe 1 or 2 small outages during the 4 years I had it. Even walking in the store to return equipment and cancel service was quick and painless; the woman at the counter was nice (I cancelled because I was moving out of FM). My only major "complaints" are that the prices kept going up and I had to pay extra for a static IP in order to get NAT type 2 with my PlayStation.

Amazing how they offer the only option to check repair is through the internet when the internet is out. No one answers the phone after hours. I have multiple accounts as i have multiple properties and a business account. If i had options i would take them.

Absolute garbage service and an absolute garbage company. Rude staff and horribly run company. The only way to cancel Internet service is in person and they don't prorate when you stop using the service because this is apparently still 1995. Every other ISP does cancellations this way but this garbage company has probably figured out a way to con more people out of their money. They claim they can't know when you stop using data even though that's absurd and a lie. I thought the big ISPs were bad, but apparently they can get worse. Comporium is trash. If I could give no stars I would.

First LM saytheir internet was not great, so I finally canceled.When I went in to the store to return my equipment the woman that "helped" me was down right RUDE!!!!I simply asked for a "return receipt" and she refused, saying, "we don't do that!!"So I told her I wasn't leaving until I had proof of the return.She continued to argue with me, the customer, for several minutes and finally wrote "return equiptment" on a business card!!! ? She was one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with in "CUSTOMER SERVICE" C'mon Comporium you need to do better, this woman should in NO WAY, SHAPE or form be in customer service!!! And....PLEASE find a way to give a returned receipt to your CUSTOMERS for returning equiptment!!!!

I just cancelled my services after having it for just three months. Every month I had to call them about three times a month because my internet would go out. Note, there were no outages each time. For the third month I called called them, I was told a technician had to come out. Well, my work schedule only permits weekend availability for me. They told me I’ll have to pay for a technician coming out on the weekend. Ok- well if I have to be here for a technician to come out, I told them the technician will be Spectrum to install my new internet services. Needless to say, I’ll be dropping my equipment off to Comporium this week because I now have Spectrum. Comporium need to be more customer focused than they are profit oriented. When you don’t care about your customers, they’ll leave. If you don’t provide quality service they’ll leave. The customer technician I spoke to clearly did all but explicitly encouraged me to cancel my services by rubbing in my face that, “if it’s not an emergency service, you’ll get charged for them coming out on a Saturday”.

I have dealt with incompetent people in the past. Never have I ever dealt with the lack of professionalism and lack of ability to do such a simple job as the people that work for comporium. They always have an excuse for a reason not to be able to give you the service that you overpaid for. Comporium is the highest charging provider in the area yet they give you bottom line service.
