I've been a patient there for over 20 years, havingbeen seen by the founding doctor and then his daughter after he retired. I don't have a life threatening condition, just eczema and psoriasis. I get several large tubes of a topical cream prescribed once ever few years or so. A little goes a long way so it last me a while. Normally I call it in and they fill it. Now...nope. "I'm sorry you're itching your skin off but you have to be seen as a new patient now..and we can't see you until October.". WHAT?!?! It's all about money now, not helping people and quality of life. After all this time... I'm searching for a new doctor. So disappointing.

I do not recommend this place to anyone who has been coming here since Dr Zeager owned it.I have been coming here since I was born. I am now considered a new patient since all of the doctors are new even though I have seen Dr Shuman and Dr Harris before. Even though the last visit I had was in 2022 with Dr Shuman. Apparently they no longer accept new patients, even though I AM NOT A NEW PATIENT.How ridiculous it is to have an existing patient at your practice wait 2+ months to see a doctor because they have to be considered a new patient since none of the NEW doctors have ever seen them. Asinine. I am not a new patient.

If I could leave no stars I WOULD. DO NOT expect anyone to answer the phone. DO NOT expect to receive a call back. DO NOT expect to have any issue resolved without you driving there and confronting them face to face (and even then you will go in circles). Waiting on important medicine when you run out, GOOD LUCK GETTING IT. This is the least professionally ran office I have ever experienced. Enter at your own risk.

I have been going to palmetto family medicine for years. Never ONCE had an issue when Emily abendroth-west was there. She leaves and the place is a disaster. They NEVER answer the phones. You always have to leave a message, have fun thinking they will call back the same day bc they don’t. Oh and I was told “the doctor you see doesn’t see sick patients in office” like then what exactly did you become a doctor for? Makes no sense. Trying to get in office somewhere for an ongoing sinus infection that I’ve had going on 4 weeks in hopes that I don’t get bronchitis. (With 2 previous virtual visits for the same thing)

This place is truly unprofessional!! My daughter missed her 1st appointment because these idiots forgot to send out a reminder, text, or whatever. I tried to make an appointment for her today and was told because she missed her 1st appointment she can't make another one ever!! I would not recommend them to anyone and I will be finding myself a practice for my entire family that's professional, courtesy, and considerable.

I want to make sure anyone considering this practice understands this is not a professional medical practice - nor is it one that I would ever recommend. My wife and I changed PCP's right before the pandemic due to our previous practice moving out of network.I've been taking the same medications for years and have never had an issue. This month is the 4th time medications I take on a daily basis will lapse because of bad communication.I do believe the providers and staff work hard, but it is very obvious how under-staffed and over-booked this clinic is. Their refill line is out-dated, inefficient and leads to constant miscommunications. Their appointment availability (which you have to go to in order to receive medication) is booked out 2-3 months ahead.Today was the last straw. I was told I needed to "take responsibility for myself" when it comes to getting my medications refilled. It kind of blew me away. If it was up to me, I'd never lapse. But, I'm obviously not a doctor, nor could I write a prescription for myself if I were. That kind of idiotic and holier-than-thou attitude is a mentality that shows your lack of empathy for patients. So, we've decided to help free up some space in their practice by finding a new PCP in the area. If you're considering this practice, I'd recommend you do the same.

Emily was awesome and everything always got taken care of promptly. Nobody answers when you call and I've been waiting days on something very important that shouldn't even be an issue. Multiple people I've spoken with have left notes about my situation and I've still gotten nowhere.

I've been calling for 2 weeks now, I even came into the office today. I can't get a call back or get the ear drops for my ears that I NEED. I AM IN PAIN. I've been coming here my whole life and this is just terrible

When Emily left the practice went downhill. Her replacement doesn’t want to be a doctor. Patience aren’t important. You disagree in any way with her and she will have you thrown out of the practice. This has been my family doctor for over 20 years and less than a week in she’s had me thrown out because she didn’t want to see me due to my symptoms. Where else would a sick person go if not a doctors office? Find a better doctor. Minute clinic is better even.

Nobody ever answers the phone. Also, every time you go in, the doctor request bloodwork unnecessarily. Playing phone tag with your primary is not a good business practice and honestly isn't healthy for the patient.

Dr. Best is the best doctor I've ever had. She really listens to me, cares for me, and allows me to make decisions about my health. If I could give her more stars, I would. The nurses, the front desk people, the lab tech, and all the other staff I've come across are all very nice as well.

We as a family have been seeing Dr. Best for over a year. Unfortunately it seems shes more interested in getting appointments on her books rather than patient care. Very disappointing.

I am a new patient and have a lot of anxiety. Kelsey is fantastic. Hands down the best doctor I’ve ever seen. She is caring, comforting, answers all of your questions, and has a great sense of humor. The receptionist was also super friendly, as was my nurse. Great place, did not have a long wait. Highly recommend!

I am a patient of Dr. Best and I am very grateful of having her as my family doctor.
