There customer service is beyond excellent. Dr. Hudson was a cool, down earth guy who seemed to have love for animals. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire time. Really good clinic who makes no excuses for emergency situations, they only have answers. Great veterinarian facility overall.

If there were a LOWER RATING I would give it. After six years at Hudson Vet Clinic, spending thousands of my dollars there, and after sending four (4) of my fur-babies to the Rainbow Bridge, on Oct. 6, 2023 I was verbally abused by Practicing Manager Kristen and subsequently lied about, by several staff, to the Better Business Bureau, Columbia, SC after I filed a complaint. No one deserves to be treated the way this clinic treated me, especially at my age of 81 years! All because I asked on Oct. 6 "who gave my dog the Simparica Trio?" We had agreed it would be given at the clinic during the visit Oct. 4 and I was charged $31.32 (to allow me time to receive a mail order of that medicine.) All communication went downhill from there as Hudson Vet staff lied about handing ME the dog's medicine, refused to refund me the cost or to replace the medicine and continued to lie to the BBB. Worse, they disparaged my reputation and my character and hurt me to the core! Stay away and save yourself from being treated in the same unpredictable deplorable and inhumane manner I have been treated, by the (Kevin) Hudson Veterinary Clinic!

They had no problem treating our dog, letting us know she was terminal with a few months to live, but when it was very near the end and we needed their help, we were told they had no time and to find another clinic, which we did. This other clinic, even though they were booked up as well, made the time for us. They had never seen us before, and were compassionate, unlike the person we spoke to at Hudson. I recommend finding a compassionate vet that will care for your pet to the very end, unlike Hudson.

BUSTED!! Came in for only a blood test and some medication. I informed the nurse that a physical was not needed, and she obliged. Guess what? When I checked my bill, I was charged for one anyway! Even worse, when I went back in to inquire, they admitted that they didn't even conduct the physical exam! Crooks I tell ya. Find another vet...

Took our small dog in for teeth cleaning, shots and nail trim. After boasting about their new X-Ray machine, they said they had to do X-rays on all new visits. We were given a total of a little over $1200.00 for work. They did have to do a few extractions but still, too much money. My husband agreed but I would not have paid that much for teeth cleaning and a rabies shot! Ridiculously high. The receptionist joked about have to pay for the new x-ray machine. Then when we picked up the dog, they charged us an additional $93.00 for an antibiotic shot we were not aware of. They have lost my business and anyone else's I can speak with.

I waited an hour for my dogs to be seen and the tech didn't even know why they came in. The tech proceeded to review their records in front of me even though the vet stated they were late due to having to review the records. I was previously quoted for my visit and fifteen minutes into the tech sitting with me we still didn't know what shots and meds the dogs needed. The original reason I called was to have heartworm prescribed and I was told they needed to come in for check ups before I could get meds. In general, this is the most expensive vet I've been to for my seven and three year old dogs and this is the third state we've lived in. The tech was nice but the confusion, being left waiting, lack of concern for our time and the overall costs here will leave our family looking for another vet.

Our Pups were with Hudson while we lived in South Carolina. Friendly staff and very welcoming! We received notices when we needed to make appts to stay up to date. When we moved and had an issue on the road bc our pups stayed up to date with wellness and vaccinations they were able to advise us.

I've used their services for several years with several different pets but today they acted like I was making Meth in my basement when I asked for the name and spelling of a medication my dog was on over the phone. This has never been a problem in the past...ever...but today it was very frustrating and insulting. Not to mention I needed it for a military vet. Needless to say the wait for them to fax the information to the military vet was very unpleasant and I will take my business and recommend to others that they take their business elsewhere! Way to treat a valued and committed customer who was affected by COVID and had to choose a cheaper route.
