I used to love going to this Dollar General as when we moved here in 2022 it quickly became our favorite one, but I went in today and Idk whats happened but it was a mess. Produce was awful and the salad mix you could see in the bag the amount of liquid which with lettuce thats an indicator its been bad for quite some time. The casher when checking out was more worried about talking with the Pepsi guy then paying attention to her customers. I kept putting my number in and then she reached over i thought to help but instead she cancelled it out. I figured maybe it was already there but unfortunately when she fave me the receipt my number wasnt on there therefore i didnt get to take advantage of my coupons which if she had been paying attention to her customers she would have realized the only reason i was putting my number in was for the coupons. She shouldnt be working there if shes going to spend her time flirting with whoever instead of paying attention to her customers. We need our favorite Dollar General back come on now!!

Dollar General stores are turning into neighborhood grocery stores, this visit was good, although they were running low on dog food.

They have fruit and salads they also have a good beer selection they carry cases of beer of all variety. The employees are very polite and well mannered. They also have a self checkout line. If you find yourself in sumter visit Dollar General

Dark, dingy, and people right up on you not wearing a mask. I would have given only one star but the employees were kind and helpful. The other customers could care less about anyone but themselves.

I visited this store early this afternoon. While I was there (getting essential supplies) I saw a customer buy 3 2-packs of paper towels. I thought they were limiting the purchase of essential items! I also noticed that they are not limiting the number of people inside the store at one time, per the governor's mandate.I only gave them 2 stars because they did have some of the items I needed.
