Today, on October 11, 2023, around 4:17 pm, I visited the BP gas station at 5640 Broad Street, Sumter, SC, to purchase a Mega Millions ticket. Unfortunately, I forgot to inform the cashier to cash my winning ticket before using it to pay for the current one. The cashier explained that the ticket couldn't be canceled, but she offered to cover the cost. However, another employee named Melissa intervened, stating that I had to pay for both tickets. When I explained that I didn't have cash for the additional ticket, Melissa became disrespectful and displayed a negative attitude. This behavior prompted other customers in line to inquire about the lack of customer service. Melissa suggested I inform the manager about the incident, providing details about when the manager would be available.Her actions clearly indicate a lack of concern, either suggesting a disregard for customer respect or a manager who tolerates such behavior.
