They have always been the best with my pets. They have seen both my pitbull Luna and my cat Mitts. Mitts especially has been a frequent patient. They took great care with him and recommended us out last year when he lost his vision and also recommended us to a great doctor when he needed his eye removed ( he only had the one at the time). Mitts had to take another trip this week because of a urinary issue and they got us in quick (within 3 days). They took great care of him and enjoyed the love he had to give while he wait for us to pick him up. We LOVE Sweetgrass and recommend them highly. Being a first time pet owner I will never take my animals anywhere else. From the receptionist to the vet techs, and doctors they show great care and patience. This truly is the best place around!

I have been taking my dog, Paisley, to Sweetgrass for years now. She has had two surgeries through them and gets her regular vaccinations there. When I got married, I convinced my husband that we needed to take his dog, Sparrow, there as well. I trust them with my girls, and they take excellent care of them. Despite the inevitably nervous visit, they are kind and loving towards them and somehow ease their anxiety. My dogs willingly leave the room to go with the vet tech, tail wagging, which says a lot. Thank you for loving my fur babies, Sweetgrass!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had a 3 year old Malinois who was difficult around anyone but me. I first brought him in for a check up and the staff was amazing about helping with a difficult situation. I can’t speak highly enough to the compassion and care that we were given when I had to bring him in to say goodbye and will recommend this vet to anyone and as soon as I am ready for another dog, they will be taken care of by Sweetgrass.

After moving to Clarendon County full-time several years ago, I struggled to find a good & caring vet for my furbabies. Thought I had found a dependable and loving vet until my Lab became very sick very quickly after being treated by my then Vet. Long story short, they couldn't fit my baby in so they suggested I take her to an emergency clinic. So I called a hometown friend that I grew up knowing and that I knew his son was a Vet in the Charleston area. He called his son, Dr. Chris Askins. He saw my baby without question, and immediately took care of her as though she was his own. The care and consideration he presented to us at that time, meant to the world to us. All 3 of my furbabies' records were transferred immediately to his clinic as I stood there watching him care for her and us during our final hours with our sweet Sally. I will never use anyone else. Summerville and all surrounding areas are blessed to have him in our accessible area.

Sweet grass has been kind to us. There was one particular day that I went and the receptionist was very very snooty but other than that, the doctor was great and the other staff was great.

I love this place, before they do anything they see if you can afford it , they try to work with you and your budget... so far it's been great for this new dog mom ☺️☺️☺️☺️
