    For our last trip to the area, we stayed in the nearby Courtyard and were not happy. Even though this is also a Marriot property, we liked it much better.     It's a hard one to rate. One week the room is spectacular, the next week the room smells awful and is missing a pan. If they could get their consistency under control I would gladly improve my rating. Also the service is far below the Marriot standard. If you want amazing service go next door to the Marriott Courtyard.

    Great location with very friendly staff. Showers are a death trap if you forget to lay down a floor towel as the water just splashes out. And the lights take an engineer to figure out but overall a great place to stay in the greater Charleston
