I booked on their website advertising. I should have read the reviews because most are correct and don't believe the hotels reply on using our reviews as a learning tool because the same complaints go back a year. No water pressure in the bathroom sink, bathroom floor was dirty as the towel I wiped up some water was black, stains on carpet in the room, the breakfast is not a full and less than continental, no elevator and the steps to the second-floor is sketchy, side door to the pool doesn't work, and we expected to have one pool day so I asked for pool towels at the desk, she handed me 3 towels, I got changed and carried all my stuff down to see the pool closed sign on. I assumed they didn't remove the sign since she gave me towels. My family and I were relaxing in the chairs when a manager came out and told us the pool was closed. I told her we were just sunbathing and didn't plan on going in the water. The manager got rude after I told her they had false advertising concerning the pool and breakfast. After she left, I walked in and talked to the clerk inside. She was even more rude. Told me I was trespassing in the pool area and said I could gather all my stuff and leave. The only time I had to relax by a pool was that afternoon so my day was already waisted. Would not recommend staying here at the price I paid! The manager, and some of the staff doesn't care about you, your vacation, or business plans. They are here to collect a paycheck with minimal service!Rooms: DirtySafety: Not handicap friendlyFood & drinks: Processed food but coffee and juice was ok

Robert, the manager/assist manager was nice at check in and check out. Karen, one of the employees with housekeeping was friendly and very helpful when we needed something. Enjoyed the pool and also the quiet room. This is an older hotel, so you aren’t bothered by other room noise. The bed was update and so comfortable. Also the comforter/sheets were clean. It isn’t fancy but we will definitely go back to this one when visiting Summerville SC.Nearby activities: Walmart, Cracker Barrel, IHop, and plenty of choices for food and necessities right there.

The front desk clerk was super!! We didn't know this hotel didn't have an elevator until the clerk told us. Fortunately, we were on the second floor. Didn't like the steps. They felt too small for good support. Room was clean. The room darkening curtain didn't reach all the way across the window. Sunlight was bright in the morning while sleeping. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Great location.

One night stay on our trek North, we picked this property because the reviews were good and the price was low mid-range. We were only going to be there 10 hours. The Front desk was extremely nice and she gave us a "suite" on the second floor when she couldn't get us on the first floor. The A/C worked GREAT! The bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast just OK, but included. The hotel needs a fresh-up. Carpets could be cleaned and furniture refreshed especially in lobby area. It looks and acts like a budget motel but is not as scary as the true budget hotels. Would probably not book again.

For the price for one night I'm not so angry that I would cancel a booking but the bathroom was roughhhh. This company should invest in some shower liners I ended up with water everywhere after a quick 10min shower. I knew this would happen so I even laid down an extra towel folded in half along with the bathmat and still had to deal with wet floors. The bathtub itself was also pretty gross. The discoloration of the tub made me think there was a grippy mat in there until I stepped in the tub. Obviously I would not be taking a bath in a tub of this condition but even if I wanted to, the faucet was stuck with the thing that turns on the shower head pulled up. The pillows are very flat but thats no biggie to me since I'm staying alone and was able to take the ones off the other bed in my room. The AC units in my could also use a good dusting. I havent experienced bed bugs or a foul order like some other guests. All that said, the lady who checked me in at the front desk was an absoulte gem even though it was fairly late by the time I arrived, so from a staff standpoint defintely 5 stars there.

The room I booked was awesome the front desk associate was amazing however I did have a jacuzzi tub and in the middle of the night the vents in the ceiling began dripping water and by morning my entire floor was soaking wet in front of the door so that was an issue.

Beware, Bedbugs and filth! We stayed at this hotel on January 4th 2024 for one night only.We booked this online as it had good reviews, we live hours away from this area.I cannot see how anyone could rate this hotel anything other than HORRIBLE!Upon arriving in the room, we found it appearing mostly clean, however a bit dingy. The bathroom mirror was loose, neither of the stoppers in either sink function, and the bathroom sink had a clog. That was what was apparent immediately, however the horrors that followed were much worse. We went to bed, my wife and I on one bed, and our special needs (Autism) son on the other bed.The next morning, we checked out then a couple hours later noticed red dots on our son’s neck, upon further investigation, he had them all over his entire body. These were bites from bed bugs. Evidently the mattress has not been changed like they are supposed to and was completely infested. Our son cannot communicate with us to tell us, we had to find this out on our own.We called the hotel, and they were aggressive and extremely rude, using profanity, and not taking any responsibility for the condition of their hotel. We stated that the hotel was ghetto, they responded with “well you stayed here, what does that say about you? This was one of the worst experiences we have ever encountered, and the way they responded to our complaints was extremely unprofessional and completely ridiculous.Do not stay at this hotel, ignore any good reviews, pay a little more for a better more reputable place.Avoid this hotel like the plague, as you may very well catch it there…

Overall, our stay went well and we didn't have any issues. However, there is not an elevator and the stairs are fairly steep. There was some mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. But, it wasn't enough to make us terribly uncomfortable. Our service was good and the employees were plenty nice.

1st floor room had holes in the window seal for bugs to come visit you, so yay visitors. Upon checking in, there was no one to help us for quite sometime no matter what kind of noise we made up front. (Safety issue?). Then, Someone did arrive finally, I was treated terribly and she couldn’t stop complaining about her job, complained about having to check me in and then gave me a bad set of keys and disappeared again leaving me not able to get in the room I paid for. Finally when I tracked her down, she complained again.Fantastic employees you have there. Worst choice hotel I’ve ever been to. We left before the end of the stay. I’d rather be out of money than disrespected and then being sent to stay with bugs.

Hotels in Charleston as a rule can be hit and miss. This one is a clean, quiet place to rest. The breakfast however could use some improvement. And there is no elevator. Extremely convenient having Walmart across the street and the waffle house next door. I definitely will be back.

STOP AND MAKE A RESERVATION ELSEWHERE!!! Roach INNNNNNN No quality!!I knew it was a red flag when a roach was flying outside BUTTTT it was late and my children were tired sooo we tried!!!!Story time!!!First, there is NOOOO elevator and I’m handicap!!!!!And after climbing the stairs I was hoping for at least a clean room however, I found bugsssss! From a possible dead bedbug IN MY BED, to live roaches, annnnd other random bugs ALIVE just hangin out!I calmly contact the front desk for POSSIBLE help and that was a joke!!!After a visit to the front desk, where Samantha, had the nerve to ACT surprised yet unbothered, we were offered another infested room! I calmly called Samantha back (2:30am) to discuss possible solutions. At this point I offered to change my OWN linen and everything. Desperate for my children to at least get a quick nap(while I WATCH them) but no, she stated there was no one to bring me linen and she could not leave the desk. I understood it being late and simply ask to not be charged for this horrific experience. I’m guessing that upset the young front desk rep, SAMANTHA, who then got an attitude and threatened to call the cops to have me removed. I was beyond confused and NOWWW very disturbed.Anywho, the cops never came but I have never been threatened in this way! Especially when it’s no fault of my own ??♀️This young and clearly unexperienced overnight clerk, was terribly unprofessional and rude. My family a I finally decided, after such an encounter, we would not be sleeping with the roaches and headed out in the middle of the morning(3:30am)This was by far the WORST hotel encounter of my life!!! Save your time, energy and definitely, your money and find ANYTHING other than the ROACH INN!5 ⭐️ for location as it is conveniently right off the interstate
