They charged me an extra $1300 above estimate to fix my jeep. The extra was to replace wheel bearings (approx. $800) in both rear wheels. It wasn't on the initial diagnosis but they went ahead and did the repairs without calling me. In this pandemic, it's not like people have an extra $800 laying around. This mechanic shop seems to be a classic swindle scheme that is common with auto repair shops from all over. EDIT: They claim I was "out of the country" (see their response). I was NOT. I'm hearing impaired and I made it clear to them I can only accept text messages, or they can call my brother in law to relay the information to me. They milked me the extra $1300 because they failed to communicate. They claim in their response, "We do wish you would have brought to us these concerns when you came in for your inspection 2 weeks later instead of waiting 6 months with us finding out through Google reviews". The inspection was only recommended by the shop if there was a problem with the Jeep..there were none. The problem is them milking me out an extra $1300 above quote without contacting me first, hence this negative review. *PS This is an old job and a copy and paste review from my Google review I had done on my Jeep and felt relevant for people to know and be wary of using this shop. I deleted my initial review cause they did a good job on small repairs and installation. What pissed me off was their lack of commuinication..milking me WAY ABOVE quote and lying in their Google response. Such a sh*tty thing to do

Excellent customer service! I’m from out-of-state and have a few issues that needed to be fixed, in order to get home. Gabe and his staff did great work and his prices were spot on with my mechanic back home. Thanks again A+ Auto Service!!! Would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality mechanic for all their vehicle needs!

I need to put this out there. We just had our car have some maintenance done with 110,000 miles. We were told a few weeks ago by one of the Major chain repair shops we needed brakes and advised that it needed done Right away. But we didn’t hear any noises so we let it go! Well we took it to A+ Auto around the corner on Old Trolley. A locally owned Dealership alternative shop! They informed us that we did NOT needs brakes and that we had 40% life left on them. A huge relief and Savings. So had do some other maintenance things that we felt needed done since the car is a 2014 and want to keep it in tip top shape mechanically. We HIGHLY Recommend A+ Auto and Gabe Foust with his team of very professional technicians.

They are friendly on the phone when you need an appointment and they fixed the evap.issue with my car. Their price to replace the evap canister includes the diagnostic check so I spent $266. I got a next day appointment when I called for 3pm and I had to come back the next day to pick up my car. I loved that Their waiting area is nice comfortable and clean. I drove my car about 80 miles after I picked it up and my engine light was off and it road smoothly. I'm glad it was fixed in a timely manner because at my local car service place they were too busy to make time to check and/or fix my car. I was told to call back Monday.

I towed my Ford Explorer to this shop when it wouldn't start. There was no after-hours drop box for us to leave our keys and no answering machine on their phone number telling us where to put the keys, so we took the keys by the next day. My wife called later for a status update, at which point the mechanic said that the battery had required a new post, & that the bill was $105.00! We never approved the work to be done, but felt stuck. We went in to pick it up, and he said they only take cash. He was about to close, so we had to go ANOTHER day without our vehicle. We finally got our car back tonight, but we paid more to fix our old battery than it would have cost us to buy a new one!
